What is the age range for Ontario Place? My nephew is 15 and coming down from sault Ste Marie. My Dad thought Ontario Place might be a good place to go. I thought he might be a bit old for it. What do ya think?

He has been to wonderland just recently for his grade 8 trip.

I think Wonderland has MORE for him to do then Ontario Place.

Ontario place has 2 or 3 tub water slides, 1 water slide and then theres bumper boats and the log ride which I would say are the only things GREAT for bigger kids little kids have a bit more to go onto. When is he coming down? As the last 2 weeks of August the CNE opens and then theres the rides there. But yeah my nephews who are 14 & 16yrs old have come down and we went to Ontario Place and there wasnt awhole lot for them to do.

What about Wild Water Kingdom IF you dont have a car you can get there by Go Bus as I took my 3 kids there 1 summer no matter your age its alot of fun there: water slides, tube water slides, wave pool, etc...

Good Luck

Thanks. He and my sister are actually coming to Trenton, not as far as Toronto. My dad was just thinking about day trips to Toronto and I did not want him to waste the drive if it would not be something to keep a 15 year olds interest.
We are also thinking the Thousand Islands Cruise or the Toronto Zoo.

About the Toronto Zoo call and make sure the exhibits are open as I went with my daughters school and a trip and ALOT of the exhibits werent open and I said I would have been really mad IF I paid all that money to get it and not be able to see most of everything as certain animals werent out as their areas were being redone

I would hit Wonderland again. There is so much to do there and the whole splash works area too. He went for his grad trip but my kids go all summer and never get sick of it.

Was this just recently? :confused3 I'm a zoo member and go all the time. The kids went to Zoo camp, and it's a great place. They have a huge kids' splash area, kids' zoo, shows in the theatre, Dinosaurs' alive area.

The only pavilian currently under renovation is Australasia. It's getting a kind of Nemo-like fish tank and will be open later in the Fall. You can still walk through it though - to see birds, some fish, and the red kangaroos. The regular kangaroos and emus are still outside.

I only mention this because on our last trip, we went to the San Diego zoo which is known the world over. It was a pretty little zoo, but doesn't compare to ours at all. We sometimes take for granted that our own attractions are world-class.

FYI, you can get a pass to the zoo for only 85 airmiles, and under 4 is always free.

That being said... to the poster. Unless the 15-year-old has a huge liking for animals, I would think he would be bored in that outing. I think teenageers need a little more action ;)

Thanks for the suggestions and tips. My nephew does not want to go to Wonderland again. He said it was 'boring' All he is really into is computers games and watching TV. Well, my dad said he is not going to be going on the computer (my dad's computer) while he is there. My nephew tends to download a bunch of stuff on the net and tries to 'fix up the computer' which usually results in it not working at all. So, my dad wants to get him out doing something other than just sitting playing games.
I think no matter what we do he will say it is boring. :(

I would agree... Wonderland would be the most fun for a 15 year old. :thumbsup2

Trenton? I live about 15 minutes from Trenton :)

ETA: If you are in the Trenton area, why not try taking your nephew to the car races? They happen every Saturday night at Brighton Speedway. Lots of bumping and bangin - that might interest him?

Thanks kelsco99. I will mention that one to my dad. I think maybe my nephew would go for that.

Just *my* opinion:)

I think Ontario Place is so boring, except for the waterpark.

If your nephew likes computers and stuff like that, there is a place in Mississauga called Playdium. You can play video games all day long. It's quite good. Check it out on their website. I believe it's www.playdium.com
