First let me say that I really appreciate all the answers I have received from the many questions posted trying to figure out our DL trip:) I keep watching airfare and today found tickets that could save us about $500 over what I have paid but I would need to get from ONT to SNA to pick up the rental car. What would be the best way to do that? It will be me and 2 kids ages 10 and 6. Thanks!

Well, supershuttle costs quite a bit more from ONT, but I guess they might take you from one to the other.

Or perhaps you could rent a one-way car from ONT and drop it at SNA?

You can google "taxi anaheim" and call them, see if you can arrange for a flat fee to get a taxi from one to the other.

No matter how spendy any of those options might be, I can't imagine they'd get close to your savings, so they would be worth it.

I'm guessing you used hotwire or something to get the car and can't cancel it?

Have you checked out LGB to fly into? I found ONT to be too far away and an unpleasant drive that felt WAY too long, and to me it didn't make up for the lower cost, BUT our lower cost was NOwhere near $500, and in fact because of the increased supershuttle costs, we barely broke even changing to ONT. I didn't know that ss would cost so much more from ONT than SNA, whoopsie!

thanks! yes, i got an amazing van rental price on Priceline from SNA and can't cancel it. I think even if it costs me $100 to get from point a to point b it would be worth it. I keep thinking Northwest will lower their fares, but they have only been going higher. AA had a $100 each way which saves us a lot of $$$
