Trying to figure out when we will be able to make FP+ selections for our March trip. We have annual passes. Our schedule is below:

3/8/17 check in ASMu
3/10/17 check out ASMu/ leave for 3 night cruise on the Dream

3/10/17-3/13/17 DCL

3/13/17 check in AKL (DVC room)
3/17/17 check out AKL flight leaves at 8:10pm

I'm wondering if we will be able to make FP+ for the AKL days in conjunction with the ASMu check in date at 60 days out, or if I will have to wait 5 days and then make FP+ for the second part.

Unfortunately, you will have to wait because you have 2 separate stays they aren't consecutive.

Hiro, so when my 60 day window opens for the 3/8-3/10 stay how many days will open up for FP+ since we have AP's? I thought that the window open date is associated with your on site check in date, but that the number of days avail to you were dependent on how many days are on your ticket. Since we have AP's would that not mean that on 3/8 our 60 day window opens for XXX days or would they cut it off with our check out date? Sorry not trying to be confusing :/

For Stay #1, you can book for check-in day through checkout day. (3 days)

For Stay #2, the same booking applies. (5 days)

The 60-day window opens completely from the current date to 60 + onsite days. Your booking window then begins to roll forward but in your case, you have onsite Stay #2 so the window then expands to Stay #2 for all onsite days.

Gotcha! Thank you. I do have another question that has nothing to do with this one....if I book 3 FP+ in advance for our family of 4 using our AP magic bands, and only 2 of us end up going to that park that day, can we use the other 2 family members' MB's to swipe at the FP kiosk and use their turn also or will it not work unless their MB's are swiped at the park entrance? I know this is not the case for SDFP phantom MB's but not sure about live MB's.

Yes, you definitely can use those FPs that are linked to the other MBs. The "in park" FP system is totally separate from the "park entrance" system and booked FPs are valid.
