Multiple questions, a bit mental at the moment as my budget is going all over the place due to my worrying mind! Sorry!
I'm going to Disney solo from the 14th to the 21st of September but cannot decide on a hotel. I've been to the parks before but was staying in a Universal hotel at the time.
Onsite, I was looking at Pop Century as it is good value for money and has everything I need. However I read about the snake in room thread (I should have ignored it!) and got scared out of my mind.
I've have panic attacks about normal spiders here so snakes will be worse!
So then I was looking at hotels that the door of the room is within a building so the Swan or Dolphin resorts would be ideal for this....however this would reduce my spends when I get there so I'm thinking this through....
Then I thought about what is important for the trip, which is somewhere safe, somewhere with travel to the parks (I'm a nightmare on the roads
), somewhere close to places to eat that I can walk or bus it too so I had a search and I'm interested in Buena Vista Palace (a short walk to Downtown Disney) or Wyndham at LBV.
Anyway now I'm worrying myself over nothing and think it would just be easier to ignore the snake stuff, ask for a top floor room away from the lake and be happy.

I also want to know, does any the onsite hotels have buses that go to downtown Disney?
