We're not big parade people and have never stayed at MK at night - basically because my son was always too tired (and, really, so was I.) This time, we're a little older, will take a break and nap at our resort and possibly head over to MK to see Spectro and maybe even stay for Wishes.

If there currently is only Spectro on Mon. & Sat. night of that week - is Monday going to be terribly crowded?

Any opinions, advice - thanks!!

I've been reading the boards avidly for a month now and it seems that Monday Aug 29th would be better than Saturday Sept 3. It has been suggested that there might be more crowds for the Labor Day weekend as the very last trip before the Fall holidays.

Spectro is a magnificent lighted parade that is worth seeing at least once. As long as you take a break mid-day and return for it and get a spot early - it should be okay.

Enjoy! Ely

We are planning on going to the 08/29 parade. I can hardly wait to see the look on my daughter's (3) face when she sees the castle for the first time.

I certainly hope the crowds are reasonable. Our current plan is to be at the MK at opening and stay until lunch time. After a quick lunch we will head back to the resort for a swim and a nap. Once we are all recharged we have an ADR for Concourse Steakhouse at 6:00PM and that should give us plenty of time to hit the MK in time for the parade. At least that's the plan, but I seriously doubt it will go that way once we are there :teeth:

What time are you planning on getting there for the (OMG) line-up??? Are you staying for Wishes at 10:00 or getting outta town after Spectro??

We are going at the same time Aug 28-Sept.3 So that is the only showing of Spectro availabale to us. We have decided to skip that one and go to MGM and see Fantasmic. I am doing all I can to avoid large crowds and I think this is best for our family. I think that if you know what you are getting yourself into you will be fine. I would worry about those that think because it is value season then the parades are no problem. It WILL be crowded but just go prepared and have a magical time!!!! :cool1:

we saw it last time after a number of years lapse and it was great...imo one of disney's best and a not miss.I might regrete this later ( like next time I go and this place is taken) but we got a great park bench seat right by the bridge to the back way to liberty square...parade went right past it ( maybe 20 ft away but cause of the bridge no one was in front of us) i was beat so i was sitting down anyway for about an hr pre parade but some came up and stood( and i shared the bench with a pregnant mom and soon to be grandma) a few mins. before the parade and saw fine also. great spot
