We are leaving for Orlando in 48 hours! Would love to squeeze in a day to see WWoHP, but am wondering if its worth it if all we have is half a day to one whole day to go?? Ad if so, where should we buy tickets? And suggestions on getting to see it all (just the park with HP, not both parks).

Thanks for any advice!!

Some might say that a little Universal is better than none at all, but less than two days would leave me wanting. Tickets are always front-loaded, so you pay a premium for that first day. There's a lot to see and do at Islands of Adventure. You will get some great advice here on the other parts of your question, but if you decide to go, don't miss Spiderman.

If you are going solely for WWoHP, you may be a bit disappointed. WWoHP is honestly far too small, and this is coming from a giant HP fan and a Universal Annual Pass holder.

It is hot, and the traffic right now is peaking there - even during the week.

If you have no plans to return to FL anytime soon, then yes - do it.

However if you plan on returning to the state soon and not in the summer, I would wait until then.

I would suggest you temper any huge expectations however, and realize it will probably take you half the park hours to ride the 4 rides HP land offers.

I am in no way saying it is not worth seeing, it is my favorite thing @ the Universal Parks. I am simply saying that if you are indeed a big HP fan, you may feel as though it is a bit lacking.

MAKE SURE YOU TRY THE BUTTERBEER! And take home a bottle of Pumpkin juice for the cool souvenir bottle.

WWoHP is like visiting Fantasyland at MK .It is a very small area of a themepark.IF that is your goal, than one day would be fine. You will be able to see Harry Potter and experience the rest of IOA.I don't recommend trying to squeeze BOTH parks into one day though.Keep in mind...One Day tickets are rarely if ever discounted and it won't be a budget friendly day trip.Onsite resort guests get into the parks 1 hr early before day guests, so by the time they let in dayguests that section of Islands of Adventure will already have a large amount people in it
