Was in disney BCV Dec 1-10 had on my green mickey head only found 2 other DIS members one came to me I had said I would be in a cast on my foot so he asked if I was Harley- mouse. Nice to have meet you Jayson. Also spoke to Cliff from NJ in the hot tub on night. O well We had a great time anyway :p :p

Didn't meet any Dis members either, but did meet some members from the United Kingdom whom I told about the board. We had a lovely chat while we were on the boat to DTD from OKW, it was their 12th visit, and our first as members, so I was glad that I had some info to pass along to them.

I was at the BCVs Dec 10 - 14 and didn't spot any green ribbons...but I am going back in Feb, Easter, July and next December, so maybe I'll spot some then!!!

We missed each other. I was at The Swan 12/ 5-8, and then at BWV 12/ 8-11, and I had some breakfasts at The Beach Club.
I was wearing my lime green ribbons, AND my lime green Mickey heads from Home Depot. Other than the 3 DIS women that I planned to meet, I saw about 3 other DIS'ers.

BCV Dec 8-17th here.

Ran into a couple of people. One was in the hotseat at Millionare so I went up to her later (she mentioned she was with Mousefest and DIS People) and met her and a few others (sorry can't remember names - just TownCrier) and someone noticed my HD green head on a bus back to the hotel. but I don't remember her name either (something like pattyjo from the collectors board)

neat to say hi - but didn't see any others!

Let's see . . .

. . . have met other Harley owners
. . . have met folks from my home town
. . . have met Mickey and Minnie
. . . have not met anyone from the DIS website

LOL-I was also at BCV 12/7 to 12/12 and thinking the same thing as all the others here-"Where are all the lime green ribbons/Mickey heads?" I had 2 on-one "coming" (on my lanyard in front), and one "going" (hung on my back pack over my shoulders). Yet, other than those people I'd planned to meet, never saw another. ANd I remember beforehand all the people on these boards who said they'd be at WDW that week. Partly I think it goes to show how there are so very many people around at Disney. Although one person I'd met by design on 1 day, I ran into again another day. So I suppose I wonder why none of us (especially those of us at the same hotel) ever ran into each other.

What is they green lime ribbon supposed to mean?

I don't know, even though I've been going to disney for 10 + years, and a DVCer for 2.

????

Thanks, Goldi (yes, I feel foolish, but curiousity does overcome ;)

Hi goldilock_63

This seems to be mentioned more on another board, I'm not sure which one, maybe "theme parks and strategies," but the idea is to wear a lime green ribbon, a lime green MM paint chip (maybe it's called Alien Green at Home Depot) or now the sponsors of this board sell buttons which identify you as a Disboarder. I have a lime green mickey paint chip on my camera case, and it was noticed by the family that I talked to on the boat, but they had never heard of the Disboards.

I did notice a DISbutton, but the person was exiting as we were entering a monorail.

Kathymc - That was Krista (skporter) that was in the Hot Seat. There were quite a few people who were attending MouseFest 2003 from 12/4 to 12/8, and quite a large number of them post here on the DIS. One of the MouseFest events was a gathering of past hot seat winners at Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Here's the group photo from that event:

Krista is on the far right, JamesD is third from the right, I'm fourth from the right, and LindaD (JamesD's DW) is fifth from the right

It's difficult to spot in this photo, but I always wear a lime green button that says "Towncrier" on my camera case. I also tie a lime green ribbon to one of my belt loops (if I remember). You can see Krista's lime green Mickey Head (from one of the Home Depot paint samples) on her backpack.

Spotting another DISer is not the easiest task, but it's always fun to find another person from the boards.

Good luck and good hunting.

It was so exciting to meet DISers for the first time on this trip. The first place we went when we arrived on the 4th was the MK to meet a group for dinner and MVMCP, and it was such a great sight to see a big group of people in the middle of the park all decked out in lime green stuff (including Towncrier, ASFcurly, Carl, Ray Sharpton, and several others). I always have on some lime green ribbon, etc., but this is the first time I've actually met anyone, and I met lots because of all the Mousefest activities. I had a hard time remembering everyone's names, too. Now I hope to meet up with DISers on every trip.
