Only in America would you see an Ex President in Walmart!

So we need to make a Wally World run to get some stuff for the klombar house. We pick up everything we need and some stuff we dont need and get ready to cash out. Just as we are heading for the door in walks a couple of guys wearing suits with ear pieces in. Behind them is George and Barbara Bush coming in to do a little shopping. Mr Bush heads in one direction and Barbara starts walking right at us. As she approaches she smiles and says good morning. We tried to follow Mr Bush but the crowd was building near him so we headed out, loaded up the car and went home. When we got outside there was a couple of Secret Service vehicles outside. It was pretty cool seeing an Ex President so close. I would have liked to shake his hand but you could tell the Secret Service was not happy about the crowd gathering.

Cool. We used to run into Presidents and candidates quite often when we lived in Manchester, New Hampster. Every 4 years they seemed to show up for some reason.

A few years ago we were at Mc Donalds and Jimmy Carter and family drove up. My dh and dd Jenn got to meet them inside. They were on their way down to Disney and stopped off to get a bite.

Yeah...i met(so to speak) George and Barbara Bush in Maine as well. They were dining in a Keenebunkport Restaurant. DH and myself heard lots of noise and laughter from the adjacent dining room. We said to ourselves.. gee someone's having a good time.!!! Later on DH said... hey look.. There were guys in suit (SS) and George and Barbara Bush talking to the Chefs..giving thumbs up!!( kitchen in view of the dining room).They seemed so nice and 'normal'!!!So now I can say I had dinner with an ex president ...ok... well sorta!

Barbara Bush was the guest speaker two yrs ago at a scholarship award program we attended with our dd. She seems real down to earth and quite funny. When my dd went up front to receive her award, Barbara said, oh what a beautiful child. When my dd came back to the table, I said oh my gosh, you look just like her grand daughter you know the one that keeps getting into trouble. We had good laugh over that.
