think i need a new countdown ticker ... 286 days and counting! Going on 19th March for 19 nights, too good a deal to turn down £1,900 direct virgin flights for the four of us! Going to do 16 nights Disney and 3 nights Treasure Island/ St Petes so now its deciding on which hotel ... My bank account is leaning towards POP whereas my head is shouting SSR :rotfl:
No availability for the surf beach which is where we stayed before in Treasure Island and loved it so welcome any suggestions :goodvibes

Great news, enjoy your planning.
Similar dates to we are considering but we are looking at a road trip taking in New Orleans & Graceland.

:cool1:so jealous! we are looking for 16th april and the flights are well over £650 each with virgin! I just want to book!
Have you looked at the free dining offer? We've booked that already as our dates are pretty much set in stone thanks to DH leave?
we booked SSR on free dining for our first 5 nights. you get a $200 giftcard too (minimum stay is 5 nights) but you get the $200 giftcard if you sta 5 nights or 20! It makes it pretty good value for the shorter stay.
We would need the 21 day pass anyway so made huge sense for us.
we would never normally buy the dining plan but if its free...... plan on doing loads of character buffets for the kids!
we're then doing 11 nights on our dvc points which we can't book yet but its a good deal. you could always move to the pop after 5 nights. its the $200 that makes it a good deal but the longer you stay the less the value in it.

Glad you got booked :thumbsup2

Have you considered a mod - you would get free QSDP which might make it cheaper then Pop plus food OOP.

Don't forget as a DVC member you can buy the TIW card that will cover any TS meals you buy once you have finished your free dining stay!

Plus I couldn't say the gift card is what make the OKW/SSR deal so good its the fact you have got a 35% discount PLUS free dining - thats what makes a deal especially once you move up to the villas rather than studios :thumbsup2

Sounds great, have fun planning :thumbsup2

Its a good idea but i couldnt deal with all the packing and unpacking. I am the boring one that stays in one resort for the whole time with exception of the odd night or two on the coast. I found the dining plan way to much food but we did have some awesome meals, 1900 Park Fare was the best character one by far :)

Glad you got booked :thumbsup2

I am totally thinking about POR, it works out £896 more than Pop, decisions, i am never good at making my mind up :confused3

Hope you have a fabulous trip and a great time planning it all!

We are currently looking for April flights too, £649 with Virgin the day before we want to go (although could add on a day) or £684 the day we are planning to leave. Seems a lot but then I sort of like that with Virgin we know what we're getting.

Same here, I would go with anyone if it meant getting there but for the last 14 years I have only flown with Virgin and I know how everything works etc. We have silver membership and using premium economy check in this time saved us so much time and special assistance are great with Charlie x
