Only Fl residents can get annual passes?

I just called The Disney Store in our area to ask about annual passes and the CM told me that they do not sell them. She looked in the book to be sure and then came back and said "I'm sorry, in order to get the annual passes now you have to be a florida resident".

Has anyone else heard this?

I think that is incorrect- you can buy them on disney's website.

you will see Florida residents purchase annual passes here, under that in smaller writing there is a link for non FL residents

That is definately incorrect. Anyone can buy an Annual Pass. Florida Resident's do get a discount on their annual passes but anyone can buy them on Disney's website.

What other posters have said. (I have an AP and I live in Virginia.)
Also, The Disney Stores are no longer owned by the Walt Disney Company, they are owned by the Childrens' Place stores(I think that's the name of DS parent company?). That might have something to do with the incorrect information you received.

I think you'll have to deal directly with WDW(phone, in-person at the parks, WDW website) to buy Annual Passports or Annual Passport vouchers.

It appears that you can no longer buy APs at the Disney Store. (Maybe Florida Residents still can?)

Anybody can get an annual pass...they have a discounted rate for fla residents and a special FLa Resident seasonal pass with blackout dates that only Fla residents can get.

You can order online or you can call the AP phone number: 407-560-7277. They can answer you AP questions too. Out of town guest can order 2 types of APs (regular and plus) and Florida residents can order 3 types of APs (regular, Plus, and seasonal).

I asked at our local DIsney Store here in Alabama. They will see you the Premium AP, but not the regular. Looks like it depends on where you are as to what the Disney Store will sell you. I am going to order mine through the main Disney Number.
