Do you think any of you guys/any of us would be interested in trying to organize some kind of mini-meet and do an Illuminations or Wishes cruise? I just saw it mentioned. Splitting the cost would greatly reduce the price I would imagine.
Let me know and I'll do some research.

Ohh that might be fun!! We're a party of 7 (1 is under 3 though). 5 Adults - 1 5yr old, 1 2yr old.

Okay, so I called Disney recreation and the most people the biggest boat can hold is 10. Just between the three of us, we have 15 so I don't think that could work. I did ask for a couple of random dates (9/30 and 10/3) and there was currently no Illuminations cruise available for those dates (it didn't occur to me to ask them to check if a Wishes cruise is available too). Oh and the cost for the cruise including tax, the driver, and snacks was around $275.

Sooooo...I'm not sure where this info puts us since we couldn't all do it together and I know we all have our itineraries pretty well set.

If you have any ideas let me know.

Another thought is we can do some other type of mini meet at a park or resort or something. I'd love a "99 days to go" group picture!

I talked to DH and he's interested, however - he thinks it would be better if we went without the kiddos.

So - It would probably just be DH and I and we'll send the kids with Grandma, Uncle "Ick" (There IS a story behind that ) and Auntie K.

We'll be there the 3rd - 10th - I don't think the 3rd would work for us.

Well that would put us at 10 which is perfect. I know Joe and I for *sure* are unable to do this on 10/1,10/2, and 10/4 since we have stuff that just can't be moved around. So maybe 10/5 will work? That's our Epcot day so it'd work quite well for us.

I'm not entirely sure what we can work out....Maybe I'll call Disney and ask for availability during our time frame and see what I can find out. I'll do that right now....

I was going to post it in the trip report under "Cast" but - well since I doubt my trip report will rock I'll tell ya! :lol:

My brother's name is Rick. For the LONGEST time Parker (my son) would call him "Uk" then one random day we were visiting and Parker says in the clearest voice (at the age of 2) "HI UNCLE ICK!" So...he's been Dubbed Uncle Ick. Parker can now say "Uncle Rick" but he tells his sister to call him "Uncle Ick".

I just called and on October 5th (Friday) they had the large 10 person boat available for Illuminations so I grabbed it!

I'm *really* hoping that'll work out for us. I don't want anybody to feel left out so let's see what we can work out!!! I have until 24 hours prior to the cruise to cancel.

That date would work perfect for us too. We are planning to be at Epcot that night cause we have Coral Reef ressies at 4:00. What time does the cruise start? Let me talk with my hubby and family later and maybe I can get our numbers down. Mom and my teenage daughters might not care if they can do it or not but I have a feeling my youngest daughter will want to be with mommy. So we may only have 3. Is anyone interested in doing the Wishes cruise Magic Kingdom? Same description as the Illuminations, it's $225 including tax for a party of 8. $28.12 per person we are a party of 4. The whole week is open 10/29 to 10/05 and we are open with our dates.
