My anxiety is crazy right now :(. My brain can't tell the difference between excitement & anxiety and my anxiety symptoms are rearing their ugly heads something terrible right now :(

Anyone have any calming remedies? I take medication daily, without it I would be a basket case right now lol

I took an Epsom salt bath tonight, and did my deep breathing techniques and u am feeling calmer, I was just curious if any one else had suggestions :)

Try making yourself busy with lists, packing, and more lists!:laundy: It will get your mind off things. Also, before bed try drinking some warm milk with honey. Exercise works too. Doing walking would be a good idea, because it will help you prepare for the nine miles of walking you'll be doing at Disney. Hope I can help :)

Are you going soon? My trip is this Saturday! Our first trip to WDW and I'm not ready yet!!!!

5 sleeps for us, too!! If I hadn't been making lists for over 2 months now, I would be feeling your anxiety! I'm trying to keep myself busy with other things (housework, playing with the kids, etc) so I won't consume my thoughts with Disney. As long as you know you are as prepared as you can be, the rest is FUN!

I just try to remind myself that I will forget something, it's inevitable. As long as it's not one of my kids, my phone, camera, or money... it will be fine :cool1:

What parts of the world use "___ more sleeps"? The only time I ever heard that used outside of this thread was A Muppet Christmas Carol. I think this might be a British English colloquialism?

:lmao: true but I don't like wine! Trust me I've tried!

Liquor. A small bit, often, all day. People think I'm joking, but there's actually a lot of science to back me up.

I have some significant anxiety/panic disorder issues. For a long time, the only thing that kept me from completely cracking up was Seroquel or (later) Effexor, which were both just horrible drugs to be on.

When I finally got loose from the Effexor, I was still dealing with almost constant heightened anxiety stress. What I found is that a half-shot of strong liquor every two hours brought my stress down, improved my appetite, and increased the effect of my tranquilizers that I take when a panic attack is coming (klonopin) so I can take less of it. As a dietary supplement, liquor is just about the perfect food. It requires almost no work for your body to turn it into energy and it can be digested without creating oxidants and free-radicals.

Just my experience, ymmv.

Bach's Rescue Remedy. I love the stuff, takes the edge off anxiety.

Yoga. Keep going with deep breathing.

Take a walk where all you let yourself think about is how your foot feels as it meets the pavement. Try to break it down into how each inch of your foot feels.

We leave Saturday morning, flying out if Flint. I hate flying so that's an issue too lol

I used homeopathy for 2 years and it helped a little but the anxiety was still interfering with my daily life so I now take Ciprlex. It has changed my life!

I feel so much better today after an hour long Epsom salt soak last night. The next three nights wi be busy so my mind will be occupied so hopefully that helps :)

We've always used the --- sleeps, I'm Canadian not sure if its a Canadian thing? I thought everybody said it lol

I use it and I'm from the US, I only say it though because of the DIS boards, I honestly thought it was a Disney thing.....oops
