I called USF about the ticket offer through the Annual Passholder Appreciation Days promotion. Dealing with them in person is different than the website, they don't mention some important differences that can benefit you.

First off, if you read the fine print on the website it says that the half-price tickets are only good for walkup purchases at the USF or IOA ticket window. In reality you can order them by phone BUT they will not mail them like they do for most tickets, they have to be picked up in person. I think that is to keep people from ordering a bunch of tickets then selling them on Ebay.

Second, the website gives the impression that you have to use them by June 27th. You have to buy them by the 27th but you can pick them up at a later date, in my case it will be in July and they won't actually be used until about a week later. There is a slight possibility I could be wrong on that and they have to be used the day they are picked up. I covered that possibility by adding the name of the person who would actually be using the tickets to my order so if I can't pick them up and bring them back to them he can pick them up himself on the day they arrive. You need your order number and positive ID when you pick them up.

Finally, the website says maximum of 6 adult tickets. They will sell you more. I bought more than 6 and I had the impression I could have bought as many as I wanted. The people I bought them for are all going on the same day, I don't know if you could stagger the days or not but you could ask the CSR if that's possible.

All this ends June 27th. If you are thinking of getting tickets for friends or relatives don't procrastinate much longer. :rolleyes1

I haven't been on in a while - what are the 1/2 price tickets???

well, from what i have read with the flyer that was sent awhile back, AP holders can purchase tickets for 1/2 price for whoever they want.

we'll be going on the 27th and the flyer that was sent to me has a free ticket voucher.

one thing i don't understand though is, is the free ticket only good AFTER you purchase 6 tickets?

or say you will be with a party of 3, can you purchase 2 tickets and get the 3rd free?

I hope I'm understanding your question correctly....

Passholders can purchase up to six tickets for friends/family at the 50% discount...normally it's a 10% to 15% discount depending on whether it's a one park or two park ticket being purchased. Most of the time, all passholder specials must be done at the gate since the passholder has to be there to show his/her AP at the time of purchase.

If you have a voucher for a free ticket, that should be fine but unless you are also a passholder you would not be able to get the discounts off the other tickets...if I'm understanding your question correctly.

yes the voucher is attached to the flyer and it states " AP can purchase up to 6 tickets with one FL resident id, and as a special bonus a voucher for 1 free admission is added "

And yes it does state that you must purchase at the ticket window for the 1 day 2 park pass to get the discount. I don't know if i got a different flyer than most people here, but i also got the other buy tickets at 50% flyer.

when i get home i'll have to look at the details

I'm picking up my AP when I arrive on Friday. At that time, I will be purchasing 2 all week parks for my daughters. I was going to do this online, but if I wait and do it at the gate will I get a discount with my new annual pass?

Passholder discounts are only for regular ticket prices...the week pass special (I'm assuming you're getting these passes) is already discounted so no other discount would apply.

Just curious... Do you know if you can purchase 2 day 2 park for 50% discount? Last year I did but this year I notice on site it only says 1 day 2 park so I havent rly thought twice about buying any.

I don't have the flyer in front of me but it's usually off the one day tickets only. If you bought the two day ticket last year, that must have been another promotion. I'll check the flyer when I get home.

The promotion is for 1 day 2 park tickets only, $47.50 for adults and $42.50 for ages 3-9

Sorry to be a bother, but I'm looking for more details on this as well. I just recently purchased an AP, hoping that additional discounts would come along, but so far, I haven't seen anything. Now, I thought it was odd that when the AP came in the mail, all I got was the pass. No coupon book, no letter, nothing.

Is there a website that's for passholders somewhere? I've been holding off from purchasing the additional tickets that I need as I've been hoping for a discount and I'm feeling a little in the dark!

Thank you in advance!

Go to this link:

On the bottom right you will see the passholder login screen. If you look at your pass you will see a number beneath the barcode (mine is 18 digits), that is your login. The pin number is above the barcode and to the right. That will get you into the passholders website. When you log in correctly you should see a screen that looks like this:

This is the ticket I want too! I called the passholder office (several times) and asked if I buy the 1/2 price 1 day ticket, can we upgrade it to a 2 day ticket and was told NO. They did tell me like the OP, that we can buy the tickets over the phone and pick them up whenever. They would be good the day we pick them up. I need 2 park tickets/2 day so this current promotion doesn't help me. However, last year they offered this promotion and when it ended, they offered a similar one, so my fingers are crossed that this week we'll see a new offer, maybe the one we want. However, an earlier thread said we could now buy the seasonal tickets for $99 and not be a FL resident. Even though this ticket is only good for 6 months since it ends on Dec. 31, 2009, it's still a better deal for us than buying a 2 day/2 park ticket for $99. Since we return in October, our family could get one more day use out of it.

BTW -- we often will hear about the current promotions before we see them on the website. The website doesn't get updated too quickly, but they are getting better. I was surprised to see the room discounts out now through October.

Just as an update FYI I went to Guest Services this past saturday (July 11) to renew our PAPs and pick up the discounted tickets. They gave me 7 adult and 1 child to take home with me, the actual users didn't have to pick them up and use them the same day. They will be down there sometime next week and now they are extra happy because not only did they save $400 they don't have to get there extra early to pick up the tickets, they can just go right in.

Are there any new discounts posted now that the others have ended? I too am hoping for a 2park 2 day offer.
