While talking with the disney florist I was surprised to discover that only 4 flames were allowed per table. I've seen in many of your photos tables with 2 tall candles with little tea lights all around.... and all of them are more than 4 flames!! She told me that the fire code says you can't have more than 4 flames and if we want more than we will need to use fake candles with bulbs for flames.... this upsets me. She says I'm lucky because it used to be just 3 flames and finally they can have 4.... in other words she was saying no one has had more than that before... yet i've seen pictures! I'm sure those pictures aren't of fake candle flames either...

If any of you have seen it we want to use the spiral candle holder that is on display in Franck's. It holds 6 small candles.... but what is the point of that if we can't put 6 candles on the table? She showed us a picture where someone alternated candles and blooms but it looked a little odd... Any help? Ideas of things that can go in a candle holder that isn't a candle?

Before 2009, I think you could have more candles per table. One of my inspiration centerpieces was Linda's and I think there were 3 main floating candles and then 6 votive/tea lights around it. When I went there for my PS in May they told me 3 candles max.:confused3

I'm not sure what to put in the candle holder other than a candle...

I remember this being discussed and some brides (sorry I can't remember who) said that they changed it to 4 clusters of no more than 3 candles each, which would make 12 altogether. But who knows...

I had my reception in the Whitehall Room and we were only allowed 3 candles per table. I did have the fake candles in my dp centerpieces and they looked ok.

Wow - thats is a change. Like Meg said - our table had 3 large glass vases with floating red petals and a white floating candle and we had 6 votives around them with red petals on the table.

I can't believe they would show a candle holder that holds 6 candles but only let you use 3.

How about using the electric candles? :) There are some that flicker and look just like a real candle. I'm sure that if you put those in votives, no one would really notice. Although you would have to pay more for the candles...they don't limit the electric candles do they??? Just the real ones, for safety reasons, right? :)

When I met with Rose on July 21st, she told me that you could "bundle" or "cluster" up to three votives together, and each of the bundles would only count as one. We chose to stick with the singles, though.

There is no limit to electric candles but the florist made it sound like they didn't look that great. Maybe they can send me a picture of them or something so that I can get a better idea.

Due to the fact that we had curly willow branches in out centerpieces, we couldn't use an open flame (fire and dry branches just don't mix!). Instead, we used the battery powered candles. They flickered and added a nice glow. Here's a photo of what they looked like.

THAT is beautiful!!

Thank You!

If you do decided to go with battery powered candles, you are better off going with a frosted or colored glass votive holder! :thumbsup2

When we had our PS in June we were told that there was a wedding last year that the fire marshal showed up at to do a surprise inspection and they had a bunch of candles as a centerpiece and they got in big trouble and shut it down! Apparently it was against the fire code. So, then Disney had to only allow 3 clusters of candles on the tables. That lasted for a little while then Disney fought to be allowed more. What I was told was that you are allowed 4 clusters(or units) of 3. I wanted as my centerpiece 3 cylinders with floating candles and then a bunch of votives around on the table. We are allowed to have that but the cylinders have to be tied together with a ribbon to make it one unit. Then I will have 3 other units consisting of 3 votives each. At first I was annoyed that the cylinders had to be I totally understand why.

Would love to see photos of the three tied together with a ribbon. That actually sounds pretty.
