Only 2 seats left at lower fare?

Found a cheap fare coming home from MCO. However, there are only 2 seats left at that webprice. When I try to book for 3, the price jumps up by $20 for EACH person.

I would have just purchase 2 tickets and then 1 later at the higher fare. However, it will just be one adult and 2 children (8 & 11) traveling. So, I am worried that it will be a problem purchasing ONE ticket for a minor. What happens if it won't let me?

This is on AirTran, btw. Anyone know if a single ticket can be purchased for a minor? Or 2 minors? Can book the 2 of them together and then one for myself at the higher fare?

Anyone with similar experience?

You can do it any way you want. You can choose your seats during the booking process, for $6 per person in each direction.
