Okay, this is my situation. This year it looks like a Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure vacation with Disney here and there. I have those 5 day hoppers at US/IOA with free child tickets (too good to pass up), I also have 2 day base Disney tickets and some old 1 day Disney water park tickets. I plan to visit Disney for two days (and the water park one afternoon - after a US visit), but I can't figure out which Disney parks to visit. I can't imagine going to Disney and not visiting Magic Kingdom although its the most crowded and I rarely get to see (ride) much. I just can't imagine not seeing that castle - it puts me in that whole Disney mood. Now, I can tell you - Epcot is out (its okay, but my least favorite park) - so I'm struggling with Animal Kingdom or MGM - which park would you choose to spend your second day and why? I went to Disneyland last summer, so my last trip to Disneyworld was summer of 2004 (I was there with Hurricane Charley). I'm going July 29 - Aug 5. :confused3

I'd go with MK & MGM.

MGM because I think they have alot of cool interesting things that AK wouldnt have. I would imagin it is like Universal Studios. But that is where I'd choose.

I feel just the same about MK... I have to go there first or it just doen't feel like I'm at Disney!

As for choosing between MGM or AK -- 2 things:
- they've been saying that AK is the busiest park right now because of Everest opening... although that could slow down by summer, I bet it will still be pretty popular.
- You could do AK during the day (it usually closes about 5) and then hop to MGM for the evening (of course this may not be practical if you don't have hopper tickets already)

Hard decision... you could just wait for the day and see which your family feels in the mood for! I bet you'll have fun either way.

MK & MGM every single time you ask me!

AK and Epcot are my families least fav parks, while MK is where the magic is, and MGM is where all of our fav rides and shows are at.

Yeah - I think you might be right. The only reason I even thought about AK was because of the Mt Everest ride. My daughter watches Disney Channel and of course you all know that every commerical is one big Disney ad!! She keeps talking about the Mt. Everest. I didn't buy hoppers this year. I may have to update.
