only???13 more sails till sept 14 wonder??

Have a great weekend everybody! I can't access the internet at home at the moment. A nasty worm is trying to eat my harddrive.
Until I figure out how to evict it I must visit during my "break" at work. :(
Maybe some more of us will get our Docs this weekend!
(here's hoping!)

Marshmelo and Stace:

What time the catamaran sail leave and when does it get back? We didn't get any excursion info with our docs.

Do you think our 9yo DD would like it? We practiced snorkeling in the pool.

She was at the ocean for the first time and loved, maybe beach time at Blue lagoon, but then there will be plenty of beach time at CC.

advice please?

I'm Baaaaaaack!!!!

We were only out of power for 22 hours, but of course we had to have high temps and humidity!!! We actually survived without A/C!!!!! Nothing like having to lose electricity to get the neighbors to come out of their houses. We did have fun sitting around the driveways talking, relaxing and doing nothing. Our next door neighbor is a H.S. Football coach and we "coached" him on why he should give his team a break for today. He finally agreed when the water pressure dropped to a trickle. Hope the guys enjoyed their break today!!!!!!

Well I have a lot of Dis catching up to do.

OK, everyone who has already started packing......raise your hands!!!:Pinkbounc

Gail/Newby...We did Blue Lagoon last year when the kids were 9 and 12. It was a great mix of things to see and do, my 9 yr old had his first "real" snorkeling there and loved it. DH, 12 yr old and I were disappointed in it, as there's not much to see, and they don't let you go far. But on the whole, it's a great trip. The boat going over had a bar and a band, and it was so relaxing and beautiful.
We decided to do the Catamaran this time so that we might actually see something! The Cat itself sounds like a fun ride. It meets at 9:00 a.m., and is out for about 3 1/2 - 4 hours, with approx one hour actually in the water. They have people go in the water to help if needed, and equipment is available. Cost is $42 age 10 & up, $30 age 6-9. In our group only DH and I snorkel alot, the kids only did it on our last cruise, my dad went once years ago, the other 5 have never done it. My mom is only going along for the ride. I think (and hope!) it will be fun. Other than Blue Lagoon, there aren't a lot of choices if you have kids.
Check out www.disneycruise.com and it will list the shore excursions. I'd call and make reservations now, rather than wait. Things fill up fast.

thanks for the info...

Still trying to decide...I know I shouldn't wait, but I haven't sat down with DH yet to discuss.

9yo DD either

Blue Lagoon
Catamaran
Hang out on the ship!

Think about it, this is our first cruise, Travel day on Saturday, tha'ts an all day affair, getting in FL in evening, till we drive, eat, etc.

Day one on boat, that's exciting enough

Day 2 Nassau could just be realxing on the boat (maybe get off the boat a little and go to Del Sol)

Day 3 CC

Day 4 hang out on the boat

Day 5 go home boo hoo hoo!

We're not "have to do and see everything kind of people"

That's why I;m sort of dragging my feet on excursions...

sound like a plan?

The only thing that concerns me is if the weather's crappy at CC..., that's our only ocean time.

Same with us we will be staying on the boat.. we may get off the ship and check out the venders teens want a bahama shirt and then just hang and relax .. we have had a long year . between canceling our first cruise and family stuff now we just want to enjoy the ship.. its getting so close!!!:D i can almost smell the sea air!:)

Finally got a chance to talk to DH, we are going to stay on the ship, maybe get off a little bit to check out some close vendors.

We are leaving Saturday, which will be an all day affair, not getting in till evening, Sunday will be exciting, so we'll be chillin on the ship!

I love to post just to check out my counter...it's set for Saturday, one day head of all the other ones.

We will probably stay on the boat for a while do the buffet and then go to town for a LITTLE shopping (gotta buy some rum while I am there):p

Steve

Yep, we're probably going to take it easy in Nassau. I think my DD and I will hang out on the boat and just explore more (hopefully, it'll be less crowded). DH and the in-laws enjoy the casinos, so they'll probably take a taxi over to gamble at Atlantis.

Also, thanks to all of you who suggested calling my TA for birthday cake. Just called Expedia cruises, and they called Disney for me. I guess they don't do birthday cakes the first night, but they'll do one for my DD on the 2nd night. I think she'll get a kick out of it.

FYI - I asked about possibly getting rooms closer together and Expedia checked with DCL. DCL said that our category (#11) is pretty full, so they may not be able to switch any rooms around. They suggest checking again at the port. Maybe this boat will be more crowded than we think?

Can't wait - just bought my Bonine yesterday (just in case!).
The anticipation is making even seasickness medication a fun thing!

Jill

On Nassau, we are going to do the Catamaran Sail & Reef Snorkeling. Then spend the rest of the day on the ship.

Definately parasailing on CC. Maybe the banana boats.

Gail

Gail (#1Mouse)...What time are you parasailing? Believe it or not, the bride and groom are parasailing after the wedding and reception! They go out at 1:00. or somewhere close. She has always suffered from motion sickness, and now she's going to have wedding jitters, cake & champagne, lunch, and then get vaulted up in the air.....we're all going to be on my verandah with a telephoto lens, to capture the beautiful wedding day photo of her "feeding the fish"!!! :p

We will be on the Catamaran wth you! I like to do the excursions, especially something to do with the beach or water. It seems a shame to be in the Bahamas, and not do something "Bahama-ish".
I think we are now on page 10! Even the great smoking debate didn't have that many pages!!
Less than a month now, I can hardly believe it, and definitely don't know how I'll wait! Already bumming myself out thinking how fast the trip will go, and how sad it will be to leave. I have to stop that!

 Okay, we didn't reach ten pages quite yet! Maybe this will do it! I know, I'm nuts.
Steve, is rum flammable???

hey ya all she sets in-port tommorrow sunday ya know what that means
4 more sundays and shes ours!!!:D
since i didnt get an up grade .......

i hope we get stuck in a whirlpool and they have to keep us a CC a few days!!

Wouldn't that be fun! I wonder if there would ever be a reason that a ship had to stay out longer? I wonder if they'd run out of food?!

Stacey, for parasailing we put down 9:00 or 1:00, now I hope it will be 9:00!!!! I wanted to do the Catamaran sail and reef snorkel, it isn't too long, leaving time to do other things. We do want to spend some time on the ship. Our last cruise in February we never even went in the pool on the ship!!! This time I would like to relax a bit.

Gotta go - we're taking the kids and all their junk up to school today!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Gail

We are on the 11/14 sailing too. It is our first Disney cruise and I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited. It is our 10 year wedding anniversary and our little 3 year old is coming too. She is super excited too. We are on deck 7 in an inside room. Everything sounds like it will be a great trip.

Was just looking at the Wonder in port! I can't believe that we will be on it so soon, after such a long wait! :Pinkbounc

I've been having bad dreams about missing everything due to the meetings we have to attend. :( I know I should relax, DCL has done this before, and they aren't going to let us miss anything. That first day is always such a rush anyway....
I want to be able to soak it all in!

Decided I'd better finish the flowers so that I can practice packing, so I was up till 1:00 last night, and at it again this a.m.
Practice packing.....do you think everyone does this, or are we just really strange?? It's like having a suitcase ready when you're expecting a baby! :p

#1Mouse...don't blame you for hoping for 9:00!!!!

TexasGirl: You don't really want to wait till November, do you? (11/14) We have four cabins on Deck 7 inside....7063, 7623, 7563, 7629. And four outside...7062, 7622, 7550, 7572.

See you all soon!!

Just back from a weekend of camping with Steve and Coleen. Ran out of rum and only 4 sundays til we leave to get more:p

ONly 4 Sundays!!! I can't believe it! When school starts next week, I will start seriously packing, I'm just practice packing right now...

You ran out of rum...

Stace: Do you need me to bring anything for the wedding? Mabye I could help pack a little something so you wouldn't have to take so much...you're DH is going to kill you if he hasn't already!

justmestace Yes rum is flammable,Ever heard of Bananas Foster?
Lots of flames there.

4 weeks to go headed over to watch her leave port now.
