Only 1 Full Day in WDW - thinking Animal Kingdom

Howdy~
We are cruising on DCL in June and will do 2 nights at French Quarter. Plan is first and last day do outside the 4 parks stuff. For our full day we were thinking AK. We haven’t been there since 2002 or so. We know Epcot and DHS are under construction. And we were recently at Disneyland. So our thoughts are AK.
So since it’s been so long, what’s to do?
Suggestions of where to eat both QS and dining?
Any nice places to get adult beverages?

Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We like Yak and Yeti at AK. We have not had the opportunity to try Tiffins yet but we do want to stop there for a cocktail and small plates on the next trip.

Pandora is visually outstanding so even if you don't like thrill rides, make a stop during the day AND at night. It's 2 different experiences and I thought they were both amazing. If you are into thrill rides, Flight of Passage is amazing! Get a FP if you can. If you can't get the FP, keep trying OR head over to FOP towards the end of the night. Wait times had been 2+ hours during the day when we were there. At 6p, it had dropped to 45 minutes.

Of course Pandora gets all the hype-and it is beautiful at night to me. I personally think FOP lives up to the hype and is my favorite ride-a spot previously held by Forbidden Journey in Universal. I also think Navi River is beautiful. We love the Safari. I still enjoy Dinosaur. Never been a fan of Everest or Kali River, but to each his own! But the best part is just taking in all the animal trails, and sadly diminishing entertainment. I liked street entertainment in AK best of all the parks. We loved Satu'li Canteen quick service , and Yak N Yeti table service.

We love AK... Best food of any of the parks overall. Tusker House is the best character buffet on property IOO. Tiffins is our favorite "in park" signature restaurant on WDW property. Satuli is our favorite CS period. Yak and Yeti is very good both their sit down and CS. I've heard good things about Flame Tree BBQ, although I've never personally eaten there myself.
Nomad Lounge is attached to Tiffins for adult beverages.
Nightblossom in Pandora is a very good slushy type drink at Pongu Pongu and they have an alcohol version available.
Pandora is obviously the big draw at AK currently and everything in the area is great.
We believe the Lion King Show is a must see. Nemo and Friends is a really good show as well, but it is about 40 minutes long. UP is a cute short show and there the two trails can be walked through creatively quickly once you finish rides that are close to them.

There is enough to do all day if you want, but you can do the park just fine with a nice break in the middle if you want.. Rivers of Light was decent when we saw it in 2018. I think it's changed some since then. It isn't a must for me, but glad we saw it.

Don't forget to do the trails: Maharaja Jungle Trek & Gorilla Falls. Also do Rafikis Planet Watch. Flame Tree is the best with tons of seating. The Lion King show is amazing.

AK is a great choice!!

We love Satuli'i Canteen as well as the Nomad Lounge by Tiffins. The trails and safari are amazing; of course, Pandora is stunning. AK is the best.

AK places to eat - Satu'Li is our favorite QS, nicely themed and the food is good. Flametree is a close second and you can eat by the river, really pretty.
TS would be Tiffins as first choice. Yak & Yeti is also very good.
Drinks - Nomad above all others there. Its quiet, sitting by the river. Great drinks and apps. Wouldn't waste my time at Dawa Bar.

The rides get the hype. FoP is amazing. Love Safari and Everest. Love the trails, they are so much fun and so much to see.
