Online Reservations?

What happened to the online reservations. A posting awhile ago stated that they were being tested with members in Texas but I haven't heard anything in a long time.

It sure would be nice just to get online and make a reservations. I have 4 other timeshares and they ALL have online reservations

Reportedly, Jim Lewis stated at the recent Annual Meeting (12/2010) that the on-line reservation system would be out by the end of 2011.

Yes, cannot wait for another DVC computer system that won't work properly. Expected timeline is as follows: 2011: DVD introduces on-line reserving; 2015: when DVD will actually have fixed the problems caused by its on-line reserving system and you can finally safely make a reservation without the system automatically making all your points disappear

I agree computer systems are definitely not Disney's strength. Well, like a person, you can't be good at everything. So for Disney, safety and customer service tops their priority. We are still seeing issues caused by their computer system upgrades done at the end of 2010.

Anyway, I do look forward to the day I can check availability and make reservations (correctly) online.

I wonder where in Texas they were doing that beta testing? I too would like online reservations, but I would prefer they work out most of the bugs first.
