online reservation question

Newbie dvc'er-tried to use the website to book a home resort stay for next May. Does it really take MS 2 days to review & confirm? When you book on the phone is it immediate? If so Why would I ever book online again? Just trying to confirm that I have requested correctly. Thanks.

The current online reservation system is not automated at all. Your request will just be reviewed by a MS rep when they have a chance (in between members who phone in). It will not usually take 2 days, but they do allow themselves that leeway. For any time sensitive reservations I would not use the online system available at this time.

Supposedly, DVC is working on a true online reservation system, but we've been hearing that for a number of years now - so don't hold your breath!
