I decided to jump on the grocery coupon bandwagon and see how it goes. I'll have to get in the habit of picking up a Sunday paper, but what are some reputable sites online to find coupons.

Thanks!

I'm not sure about online coupon sites since I've never really used them (although I wouldn't mind knowing a few!).

I just wanted to chime in about the Sunday paper --- Check your paper before you buy it to make sure it has the coupon inserts! There are so many times the paper will be missing 1 insert or it won't have any at all!

The Coupon Train thread (run by ShiPooOwner) has a list of the expected Sunday inserts for each week. She has the list in the very first post on the first page. At least you'll know which inserts you should be getting and make sure your paper has them before you lay out the $$ for it!

I use coupons.com, smartsource, redplum, coupon network, all you. I also look on the manufacturer websites and sign up for their e-mails. A lot of times they send you coupons.

Phors, send me a message on FB as a reminder, and I will send you a couple of websites that will definitely help where you are. :-)

Definitely sign up at manufacturer's websites for their newsletters.
  • I get a coupon snail mailed to me every quarter for the honey that my husband uses in his tea. They never have coupons in the inserts or online.
  • The Betty Crocker website has printables that reset on the first of every month. You have to be a member to access them.
  • Proctor and Gamble doesn't have printables but they will snail mail a booklet of coupons to you around 4 times a year. They also have an insert in the first Sunday paper of every month.
  • SCJohnson's website is called RightatHome.com. They have a newsletter plus printables on the site.
  • Someone on here pointed me in the direction of Driscoll's website for a printable coupon for berries.
  • Kashi has a printable for their products on their website.
  • Hatfield runs printables on their website for ham slices, sausage, tenderloins and bacon.
  • Silk Soy milk often has printables on the major coupon websites and they also offer a coupon for signing up on their website.
  • Don't forget to check to see if your store participates in any ecoupon or Avenue programs. The coupons attach directly to your store card - no need to clip.

ETA: If you don't find any coupons online or in inserts for something you buy often, write a nice letter to the manufacturer thru their "contact us" link. Sometimes they will send you coupons as a thank you for being a good customer.

A few tips when you buy a paper:
1.) grab from the middle or bottom of the stack. This is to help ensure that you have your coupon inserts.

2.) purchase 2 papers. If you have a Publix or another store around you that has bogo sales, you can use (at least at Publix) 2 coupons that are x off 1 item ($.75 off 1 item). Also, we'll purchase 4 of the same items if it's on bogo and we have 2 coupons ($.75 off 2 items).

A good website is afullcup . com . You can search for items to see if there are coupons for it. It will tell you if it's a "rolling coupon," which means you can print it off of a website, or it will tell you if it was in an insert. If it's in an insert, it will tell you the date and which one (SS = Smart Shopper; RP = Red Plum; etc...)

Also note, that Walmart will take competitor coupons and printable internet coupons. Check out CVS and Walgreens for their sales. Sometimes you can find bogo sale there. They also take manufacturer coupons. My Walmart took a Walgreens coupon for $.69 mac-n-cheese. It was great as it saved me a stop!

Living rich with coupons is a great source , I liked her on facebook and have found some really good coupons from her. If you don't have a FB , get one, even if you only use it to get coupons. Yesterday I "liked" Heinz Ketchup and got two $ 2.00 coupons off , same with detergent and lysol this am. I check in the am , that is usually when the coupons start rolling out and they don't last a long time, so print immediately.

Thanks for all the help. Lots of great avenues to follow. I love the BOGO's at Publix. That $2.00 off Heinz would have been an awesome one since that's a BOGO this week. I'm trying to find coupons to use in conjunction with the sale this week.

Also, put the word out that you are accepting coupons. My co-worker hardly uses any coupons so she gives me big batches of all of her inserts every other week. My Mom gives me all of hers after she goes through them as well, but she hardly cuts any out. Other than that I get printables mainly from Smart Source, coupons.com, and Red Plum (<-- rarely find any good ones there for me). Or I check out the websites of products I use frequently. I can't tell you how many Nestle chocolate chip coupons I've printed from their site :).

I also sign up on websites like Proctor and Gamble and Mambo Sprouts and I get packets of coupons mailed to me every once in awhile.

I've also heard you might get more coupons in a delivered Sunday paper vs. one tha you pick up at the store. I love the totallytarget.com website. She does a great job of posting about new online coupons. If you are a member of ***************, you get 10cents every time you print coupons from coupons.com.
