Online management of placeholders!

I just booked my first placeholder cruise using the new online system. It worked great for me after initially not working when it was rolled out. One thing I noticed is that after I pulled up the placeholder and clicked the button to search for cruises, it had unclicked the box that you click to search only for cruises that offer a discount with the placeholder, so watch for that and re-click it if necessary. After that, everything worked flawlessly. Love this new feature.

Also, can someone remind me—if the placeholder was booked last April and I just booked the actual cruise with it, does that mean it's too late to transfer it to Costco? I thought that the 30 days start from when you book the placeholder and not the actual cruise, but I can't remember.

The 30-days starts from the day you were onboard and paid for the placeholder.

Thanks! I am always on the fence about transferring anyway. I love the rebate, but it's also nice to be able to manage my reservation directly.

I didn't realize that not all cruises were eligible for the discount. That's pretty irritating...

The vast majority of cruises are eligible, however there are some black-out dates around the holidays and new launches.

Yep. They have always had blackout cruises.
