Online checkin

Has anyone tried doing the online check in? If so how did it work? I have the us reservation number but instead of being the usual 12 digit its 3 letters and 6 numbers its fff****** format not numbers

Not something I would do, so far checked in at ASMovies, AKL and OKW, never had to wait and only takes a few minutes to process.
I have read people believe room upgrades are less likely doing online, not sure if thats true.

I am not trying either. It will be late when we get there (about 10pm) and I will take my chances with queues. Anyone think I will be left with a bad room at that time of night?
