I just did online check in at POR. I was asked to create PIN's for each of us. Is this standard now or is this an indicator that we are going to get one of the new bands? I checked in on My Disney Experience.

I made pins for our stay in feb. we are Dvc and have APs so we will probably be the last to be banded, but the pin is for charging. When we paid with our KTTW over a certain amount (when the KTTW worked that is) we put in the pin.

We made pins for our stay at the WL last month. It was just for the regular KTTW so that we could use the card for purchases. Whenever we used the card to buy something we had to enter our pin into the keypad at the check out.

I guess it's good for security reasons, but I'm not looking forward to having another number to remember! I have enough trouble with log-ons as it is. :rotfl:

When they originally rolled out the touch to pay (RFID) cards, the pins were only supposed to be for purchases of more than $50, but someone can do plenty of damage with purchases of less than $50, so Disney quickly made it for all purchases.
