online check in

So I got my little booklet today that is sort of personalized for our upcoming April 27th trip and it says we can pick our FP+ which we did on Feb 27th and do the online check in on Feb 27th as well. I thought we can't do that until 30 days out which would be March 27th. So I thought ok...I must be wrong so I went to MDE and tried to do online check in but couldn't...is it weird that there would be a typo in this booklet? Or am I just not doing it right?

Go to My Reservations and Tickets on the WDW website. There should be a check in online link under your resort reservation number.
