Online check in

I'm eligible for the online checkin now but I see that I have to designate a credit card before I can complete the checkin. Is there anyway around that? I don't usually attach a cc to our reservation when we go and don't remember ever doing it for online check in. Just curious.

They started requiring a CC at the end of last year I believe. We have not been since they made the change so not sure if there's s way around it. I have read other posts of people removing the CC from their reservation at check in.

Thanks. Its really no big deal for me & most of the time dd books the room in her name so I haven't done online check in myself in a while.
