Online check in with room request

I know that when you check in to your resort and there is a specific request you have regarding a room, building, etc, that you fax the resort your request 4 days before checking in.

Now that online check in is available 10 days prior to arrival, do you fax your request 14 days out, or 4 days before online check in?

4 days would have been a real short time-frame for faxing a request. a week is better (but not more than).

if you have requests marked on your reservation and you really want to try for them, id' suggest avoiding using online check-in. it's easier to check-in normally and have the CM try to see if they can accommodate you best as they're able to move you to another available room even if one's been pre-assigned to you.

We did online check-in at Pop 2 weeks ago. I had made my room requests by calling the resort # b/c my neighbor had done that in Aug. and gotten exactly what she requested. When we got to the resort we had not gotten any of our requests. I explained to the CM what I had requested, she checked and moved us to exactly where I had requested. Online check-in didn't seem to slow the move down at all.
