Online Check In Vs In Person

Wilcojoe, I agree with Pluto--try again. I've almost always had amazing CMs and they never hesitate to ASK me if I have any specific requests (which I do, LOL, but generally not by room category but location within the hotel). Now, it is true that a pool view is a higher price category, but you could ask and if they say no, ask about a room that maybe has an obstructed view of the pool area or something similar. If the answer is still no, you might have a backup request that's more general, like a room near the Napa Rose elevators or easy access to the pool area. Then, check in in person and reiterate your desire for a pool view of some sort. Most of the time, the in-house CMs are super nice.

I wonder if I should be trying a different number? I called the DL hotel number listed on their website but it ends up being a Walt Disney world travel line. Anyone have a better number to try than 714-778-6600 or 714-520-5060? I believe both numbers route me to the same area.

I had the same problem with that phone number directing to WDT. When I finally spoke to someone at the hotel, I asked if I needed to talk to the hotel directly again how to do that. He told me to use the ...6600 number and use #9 and it would send you to the hotel instead of WDT. I didn't need to call again and hope it works for you!

Thank you for this! The CM I just got at the DLH (not the WDT call center) was very helpful and was able to note the request.

Yes dailing 9 will get you the front desk (at Disney hotels anyway, definitely the Grand, maybe the others?)
