Online Check-In Questions

We are 21 days out from our second stay at POP and are interested in online check-in. Just a few questions to clarify:

1) What does online check-in actually entail?

2) What does one receive upon checking in at the hotel if online check-in is utilized?

3) We will arrive at the hotel in the morning, most likely around 09:00. Is it smart to utilize online check-in for such an early check-in time? That is, will whatever is prepared (if anything) be ready that early in the morning?

1) you get a preselected list of options to request; but they are just requests

2) You get everything you get during regular checkin

3) I checked in at 925am on last trip and because they knew when I was going to get there, the room was ready! Now I will say that I didn't get what I requested but I am not all that picky ( heck I got a bit of pixie dust and landed a preferred room )

Ditto with the above poster. As far as utilizing online check-in for the early time, I say give it a shot. We arrived around noon & they immediately called to get a room ready for us. We ended up landing a really great room on the water. You just never know if 1 will be ready, but they definitely will do their best to get you 1 & not keep you waiting.

I'm positive that I did hte on-line checking a few weeks ago but now I'm second guessing myself. Is there a way to check on MyDisney or by calling WDW to confirm that I've already done the online check-in and made my requests? We leave in a week and I'm starting to get antsy about making sure everything is complete.

yes, if you look at the rightside of the "my experience" site, instead of saying Register it will now say - Modify Registration...

if you click it it will either open a already completed registration for you to "modify" or if it starts the registration process that means you never registered.

I personally like online check-in! It made me feel better about getting to our resort early, and, like others, our room was ready when we arrived around 10:30 am. They were also able to fulfill my room requests as well. I'm also not veyr picky and wouldn't be extremely upset if they weren't all fulfilled.

We are the opposite of most of you posting here-we typically arrive late in the night. We have done online check-in the last few years and I love it! Our folder is ready and waiting for us and we are on our way to our room pretty fast.
