Online check in question

If you do on line check in, is resort check in quicker? We are Canadian and can't have our magic bands shipped to us so we do have to pick them up at the resort. I'm asking because we are staying at CBR and check in is 3:00pm and we have a dinner reservation at 1900 Parkfare for 4:30 (only day we could get a reservation). We don't want to be late for our reservation.

You can check in earlier and just leave your bags with bell hop Until your room is ready or you return after dinner.

You can check in as early at 7:00 AM.

Online check in is supposed to be faster as all that should happen is the person checking in goes up to the special counter (just a special queue, same counter), says their name, shows ID and then a packet of information is headed over and the guest leaves. However, there are people checking in who need the full scoop on everything happening so you could be stuck behind them.

We once used the online check in at Pop Century and that line was longer than the regular check in line. I was not a happy camper but realized that there were five Cast Members "working" the online check in queue. If all you need was your packet and had no questions, you were diverted to one counter spot and then you were done. We were in and out in five minutes.

Thank-you, this is our third time with the kids so I think we could probably just grab the packet that will hopefully save us some time! I love Disney but it was so much easier when I was little. We would pull up to Fort Wilderness campgrounds check in and we were off. No fast passes, no ADR's just a lot of fun! Sometimes I miss the 80's!
