Online Check in not working?

"We were unable to process your reservation; please try again or contact The Disney Reservation Center at (407) 939-7675. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number."

I am leaving in 6 days. No clue why it won't let me check in, I've been trying for 3 days. I called the number above, was on hold forever, and then they transfer me to internet tech support, also on hold over 20 minutes so I hung up. Anyone else experience this recently and have any insight?

Does your stay have multiple segments at the same resort and/or a split stay? If so, on-line check-in won't work.
 
Yes it does! Well, I'm doing a split stay, just like I did last time. No DDP or anything. So I can't check in beforehand, I just wait until the day of?

Yes, sorry. The online check in doesn't seem to work for anyone who doesn't have a single, one segment stay.

Just check in at the front desk. I've never used online check-in, I'd rather talk to a person. From reports, it doesn't make a difference in getting requests or having a room ready.
 
Same here, tried checking in and couldn't. We have three seperate segments and two resorts.
 
Four nights Jambo and then two at Kidani-- online checkin doesn't work for us either.
 
It must be the new system, because last time I also did a split stay and had no problem checking in online. I had to wait til 10 days from the beginning of each reservation, but still, it eventually worked. Not that I care about checking in online because its advantageous, but because it's just exciting to only be a short way away from the trip ! :cool1:
 
Reportedly, the issue is with the travel plan number that DVC is now using. Previously with split stays you had different reservations numbers for each portion. Now all of them are under a single travel plan number.
 
It doesn't make much difference even if on-line checkin seems to be working. I did online checkin last Saturday evening for Hilton Head and got a printed confirmation that I had checked in online. When I got to Hilton Head Sunday afternoon they had no record that I had done the online process.

No big loss, except about a 15 minute checkin delay.

But I'm having a problem entering Room Requests. In the box it says
"Add up to 2 room requests. Though we try to honor all requests, we cannot guarantee them, unless otherwise indicated below."
I can't find any way to enter the requests in that box? I've tried on both of my computers at home (laptop and desktop) and can't do it on either.

But then again I hear that room requests are often not fulfilled...so maybe I should just not worry about it? Or maybe I'll just try the old-fashioned way and call Member Services?

The room request section is designed for regular hotel reservations, not DVC. Room requests for a DVC Reservation need to be noted on the reservation by MS.
 
Thanks erionm, I called MS and they put in the requests for me. As for the online check-in, it worked fine--I got email confirmations shortly after putting in my info.
