Online check-in, no Magic Band

If I do online check-in for my resort and I don't have a Magic Band, I know that I can get into my room with the MDX app on my phone.

But what about my park ticket RFID card? Do I still have to stop at the front desk to get that? Do I need it to check-in for LLs/ILLs and the park, or can I just use my phone for that too? I thought I needed the physical ticket or a Magic Band for some reason.

You can use your phone. And if you turn on Bluetooth and let your MDE app use it, it will link ride photos too, which the ticket card won’t do.
