online check in from resort for SW

We are flying with SW and staying at POP. I've read that you can check in at the hotel (but you have to carry your luggage onto ME with you) for SW flights. Has anybody done this? Is it possible to check in 24 hours before the flight. I know you can't check your luggage through from the hotel, but the way the ME info read you can still get checked in from the hotel as long as the airline has online check in. I just want to verify this so I know if I should bring my laptop with me.

When flying SW, you can checkin online up to 24 hrs before your flight. You can not do this at the airline checkin desk at the resort though. You can go to the front desk and have them do it for you. My dd and I flew SW last August, stayed at POP. On our last night, we returned from MK emh, at about 2 a.m., and asked the CM behind the desk if he could do our boarding passes for SW..no problem at all.

You can also check in using your cellphone if you have Web access on it. I've done this twice and it works very well. Just mention at airport check in that you checked in using your cell & they will print the boarding pass(es).
