Online Check in at AKL

Sorry if this is a repeat question, I did a search for online check in and there are hundreds of posts!!

My question is this... better to check in online or when you get there and why?

Online check-in allows you to indicate a time of arrival and place a cc. on your account if you wish.

If you would happy with the first available room upon your arrival, then online check-in is for you.

If you have requests, it is best to wait until you arrive and check-in then and reiterate your requests to the CM.

I did not do online ck in for my 1st disney stay, as I had so many questions. Took 20min to check in, we were even upgraded

I have done online for the last two trips. The CM shows me where my room is (both trips almost or all of my requests made on my reservation were met), gives me my packet and off we go. Took less than 2min to check in.

I like the convenience of online ck in for repeat trips, super fast and easy.

On our last two trips we have done online check-in and it was a breeze. We didn't have any specific room requests, and really just wanted a room that was ready. We arrived both times around 10-11am and both times, at POP and at POR, our rooms were ready.

On our next trip though to AKL in November of 2013 for our honeymoon, I don't think I am going to check in online. We put in a request for a room with a king size bed, and do not mind if the room is not ready when we get there.
