If I were to do the online check in and provide my credit card number for room charges, is there a way to specify that the room cards issued to the kids (all under 18) would not have the charging ability on them?

Yes - you can specify Yes / No to charging privileges for each registered guest.

I completed on-line check-in on 9/22 and all I could do was enter the CC#. There was no option to assign charging privileges by guest.

Correct - You assign the charging privileges when you check in "in person".

FWIW - I'm not sure why they take the CC for the online check-in anyway. If I remember correctly, they still want to see the CC at check-in.

BWV did not ask to see my CC when we arrive on 10/2. I went to the designated desk for on-line check-in and only had to show my photo id.

If you do online check-in and use a cc, all adults will have charging. Not sure if it's a real adult or a Disney adult (10 year old!) If you have friends staying in your villa, they will get charging on your card too!

Best to just add charging when you get to the hotel so they don't have to issue you new cards.

The KTTW cards are already cut when you check in if you've done online check in. I don't want charge priviledges for me or especially for my guests. When I checked into BWV and later BLT they had to reissue all the cards so that they didn't allow charging. I asked MS why a CC is now required for online check in. They said it was an "enhancement" for the members. Where have we heard that before? I'm not going to do online check in as long as they require a CC. It took longer to recut the keys than it would've taken if I'd been doing a regular check in.

We recently stayed at OKW, BLT and AKV Kidani....I did online check in and when I got my room cards the ability to charge was put on my card and my wife's. Both of my kids got room cards with no charging privileges. It was already set up when we got to the front desk, I didn't ask, but I think they must automatically assume the adults get charging on theirs and looked at the kids ages when the reservation was made???

I have done online check-in in January and then again in June of this year. I did did not supply a CC number as I never have wanted charging privileges on my KTTW card. I use cash or another CC or gift card I take with me for that purpose. Both times I left the CC portion blank on the online check-in and there were no problems. Everything was ready for us when we arrived.

Now you can't do online check in without a credit card. You can't leave the credit card line blank. If you do you can't complete the check in process.

That's just crazy! :crazy2: All adults would have charging on that one CC. We frequently have friends stay in our unit with us and we aren't treating them to everything!

You can remove it when you check in. It's not a big deal to do that.

I added a card when I did online check in and when we checked in today, there were not charging privileges on our daughter's card. I assume they do that automatically for kids, but I haven't confirmed it.

depends on the ages of your child - they're not going to put charging on the under 10 crowd but the over 10 have an even chance of getting a KTTW card with privileges.

we often have our FL-based DD join us on wkends. the more 'detailed' CMs will ask if we want her KTTW to have charging and do we want her 'check-in' materials or should they hold them at the desk. The second feature I really enjoy, because it means we don't have to hang at the room waiting for her to arrive. There is nothing better then to round the corner in a park and run into your own DD :grouphug: you haven't seen for months - makes a raining day sunny.
