Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I think what I will do is book my ones that I don't really care is they get "erased" you know easy ones to get back if the system messes them up-- but I'm worried about LeCellier if I get it:worship: cause I've read on here peoples ressies disappearing somehow...then when they call about they lose them all:scared1: I am a little that I will bumble up my on ADR"s with this online sytem-- I did "try" to make one the other day-gave me times for "other" restaurants since mine wasn't available--think I'll really have to practice this b4 Aug 14--there is a free dining code at that time too-now I'll be falling over people to get what I want!:headache:

But the important ones are the very ones you need the online system for, so you can get on an hour earlier!! If you don't book those online, everyone else will have an hour's jump on you........

I booked my first ADR for my first day online - Le Cellier; but I had to book the rest over the phone due to a complication with my TS reservation not being able to be pulled up on the WDW website to unlock the 90 +10.

I have a question, the agent I had asked if we were celebrating anything and I said our honeymoon. She said that she noted it on all of our dining reservations, but when i look at them online it says "not celebrating". Does anyone one know what the deal is with that?

Also the Le Cellier one I made online I had added that it is a honeymoon celebration and it saved when I did it but when I went back to look at my ressie's again it was gone. I also tried to add the celebration to the other ones, and although they saved at the time, they are not on there anymore except for the "not celebrating" ones.

I've had this problem yesterday and still today.
All ressies done online or on the phone for my dad, none of them I can pull up.....

But I did some for myself yesterday which I can pull up just fine.

Poor dad, he's very worried!!!

Aha I have managed to get the phone ressies up online now! I haven't got the online numbers with me to check those, but hopefully poppa bear will be able to find those when he checks later on....

I've noticed this too, it still has the title of the celebration, but then says 'not celebrating' when you go to pull them up after the inital time...

sorry for acting like such dope:confused:! let me get this straight

I log on to wdw wedsite at the crack of dawn- just kidding! have cookies cleared and open up a few browsers. When I log in use my reservation # for resort. Then I pick the restaurant and date, time, and # of people in my party and age (if neccessary) then wait for 6am, refresh site (but won't that clear the info I just put in???) then when it goes through it will show me if that time or another time close to that is available. (with also other options for different restaurants at the same time) if there is NOTHING available it will tell you that on top of page & give you other options beneath.

If I am right please tell me, if I am WRONG about something-- even the smallest thing please tell me--I feel like I'm going crazy with this vacation:headache:--is it a vacation with all this work??!!:surfweb:

You've got plenty of time to practice with the system, and be ready when your window opens up. Also, I wouldn't run multiple browser windows. I know others do, but multiple windows are just increasing the chances of a hiccup while booking the ressies.

What you can do right now:

- Practice using the ADR system, getting used to the search tools and how the screens work.
- While getting familiar with the online ADRs, click on 'retrieve you reservation' at the restaurant booking page. You will need to enter your resort confirmation and phone #. Make sure the system can find your resort reservations, as this will be needed for the 90 +10 booking. You can check this now, even though your ADR window isn't open yet. You don't want to find out your resort ressie is not recognized at the last minute.

When your 90 Day window opens up:

- Before 6 AM, clear your browser's temp files, history, and cookies. Do not go to the ADR pages until after 6:01 AM
- Once it's a little past 6 (or whenever you wake up), enter your resort confirmation and phone #. Your 10-day reservation window should then be available for booking.
- After each reservation is added to you cart, there is a button to continue searching. Once all the reservations are in your cart, check-out and you should be done.

Again, the biggest thing is to make sure you try out and get familair with the system beforehand. If there are any problems with the system, then you can always call at 7AM, but by using the online ADRs, you're getting a 1 hr jump on the phone lines

I was just looking @ my resort reservation on the Disney site, & it says nothing about having the Dining Plan. We have it free, but nothing says we have it @ all. :confused3

If I book thru AAA will my reservation show up on the Disney website under my login? And will it allow me to book my ADR's online? Also if I have 2 computers in my house can I be logged into my account twice and book my ADR's faster?

You will have to get the information from AAA. You will need the phone # that they used to book the reservation (most likely) and the resort confirmation #.

It goes quite fast and I didn't bother opening up more browsing windows when booking. Test it out and make sure that when you put in the resort confirmation # and the phone # that it lists your dates for your vaccation. I typed out the confirmation # and the phone # before 6 am and then hit refresh and when the October dates were active then I started booking. I also didn't clear cookies or any of that stuff.

I actually bookmarked the reservations page for each restaurant, the day before, and put them into one folder in my bookmarks in Firefox. Then, on the day I made my reservations, I opened up one window, logged in, and then went to the folder in the bookmarks with all the restaurants' reservations pages, and selected "Open All In Tabs". It made things go a little faster, but I admit, not much faster.

90+10 didn't work for me on Saturday and I had to call in. We have Oct 16-26 at BWV and I was able to link the room reservation which showed on screen as Oct 16-26 but the only date I could select for dining was Oct 16.

The same exact thing happened to me in June. I had to call them to make reservations. It did work correctly the next day and I could see everything, so if you did not get what you wanted, check again, as it may be there.

I made our ADRs yesterday and it was amazingly smooth. Much better than I had expected. I got everything we wanted, including Chef Mickey and LeCellier, within 20 minutes of the time we wanted!

I did use two browser windows and it worked perfectly.

Made my ADRs this morning and everything went smoothly. There are a few times I am hoping to tweak. I was also surprised that Mama Melrose was totally booked ( both online and by phone)for the night we wanted. It's not a fantasmic night so I don't know why there is no availability. I tried calling and got right through at 7am, but there was even less of a selection of times on the phone than online so I'm glad I got up at 5 am CST!

Anyone else having problems accessing the dining system today? :confused3

Every time I try to Login I get an Apache/Tomcat internal server error

Luckily, I have done all my ADR's I am just "tweaking" some of the times.

Ack! The online system isn't working this morning... the main page contains no restaurant photos and no link to bookings. This is my third day using the system, so not sure what's wrong this morning!

I'm having the same problems. I'm not so uptight about the reservation I'm making today, but if this happens Friday I will be wigging out!

I really don't want to call them, but if it isn't fixed by noon I guess I will.

The main page with all the restaurant lisings isn't working but if you search for the restaurant you want, the restaurant pages work. I was just able to make an ADR for Tony's :thumbsup2
