I'm not sure it is possible to actually just change a time on any ADR. I think what you need to do is just book the new ADR for the time you want, then cancel the old one.

You still have to call in order to change or cancel a reservation - at least that's what the CM I spoke with this morning told me. She did say that she is pretty sure there will be a way to modify or cancel reservations on-line at some point. What I did was go on-line to add the new time or add a different restaurant and then called to cancel the original time or restaurant, that way I didn't "lose" the available spot while waiting on the phone.

No you do not have to call to cancel an ADR you can do it on line. I have changed several of my ADRs since I made them 90days out. When I get or cancel a ressie I alway double check to make sure it had been cancelled.

The only ones you can't cancel online are ones that required a CC hold.

The CM on the phone added two celebrations to our last ADR-one for my niece's birthday and one for my neighbours son's birthday. Well she messed it up as now all I see is my neighbour's last name as the celebration on my ADR's-any or all of them. It no longer has my last name!

Did we ever figure out what was a good time? The weekend is coming up soon and I should be around to call.

I'll go with what suits you best squirel. You are doing me a favour by letting me know when you cancel. Its 8:30am here now.(Saturday) I'm assuming its Friday afternoon where you are.

Squirel, i just checked availabilty for MBYBQ and have been able to book for 3 october. Thank you so much for hangin out for me, but feel free to cancel now. I'm so excited. I almost couldn't believe that I was actually seeing availability.

Okay so we have quite a while until the time comes to even make our ADRs :rolleyes1 but...

With a DVC reservation confirmation #, and if the DxDP has been added to that reservation before the 90-day mark, how does that work for making ADRs online/over the phone?? There are a couple reservations that will require pre-paying so I'd prefer to have that already taken out of the DxDP...

Does the dining plan come up when inputting a confirmation # online? Anyone done this since online ADRs came available? :confused3

Thanks!

(this is a double post fm the dvc boards - no one's responded there!)

So I just made my ADR's this morning and it worked. I rented points from a DVC member and with my confirmation number he sent me and my phone number I gave him to put on the reservation, it worked. I associated my reservation to any ADR's I made and it brought it up. At 7:00am our time (Atlantic time) I hit refresh and my 90+10 came up and within 10 minutes all my ADR's were made.

I didn't book anything that required a CC so I can't help you there.

Hoping someone can help me out...

Haven't received my disney reservation number yet (as I booked through a package), but I wanted to start making my advance dinner registrations. Can I go ahead and use the online tool?

Do I need to wait for the registration number? Or do I just specifiy in my registration that I am on the disney dinning plan?

Eager to get started!! I will be in Disney the 2nd week of September..

Sorry if I posted this twice, but I need someone's help.

I would like to book my restaurants under the DDP, for my trip in September. Because I booked a package thru a carrier, I haven't received my disney reservation number yet. Can I still go online and book? Do I need to specify anything?

Any help you can provide is appreciated!!!

You do not need to do anything unless you were outside of your 90 day mark. You can go online without a ressie to associate, since you are within your 90 day mark, and just make reservations. Since your going in Sept. you can book now.

Since you are going during free dining then you will need to be very flexable with your dining. Plan for lots of lunches or late breakfast times.

Let us know what you can get:thumbsup2 Here is the link in case you don't have it

Anyone can book on line at 90 days out from when they want their reservation. If you are a resort guest, then you can book under the 90 days plus 10 option. In that case, you have to give your resort confirmation number in order to book your reservations. They are already booking into October now for everyone, so you are fine to book reservations in September. I suggest you make your reservations ASAP as the popular restaurants are already booked up for September.

I had success this morning as well. No issues with the DVC confirmation number, came up with the plus 10 right away. Got what I wanted at the right times. To answer a previous poster, I don't think the dining plan shows on the site when you book, but really, it does not matter. When you are at the restaurant they will ask you again how you want to pay and take care of it there. As to the cc guarantee, I think when I did HDDR last year (not online of course) they did charge it up front, but as the restaurant I said I wanted to use our DP credits and they credited back the credit card - but I had not added the DP until after I booked my ADRs that time. (DVC stay, so you can decide to add later and don't have to elect it at booking). I suppose if you do not want anything charged until your vacation you should probably call after you make the reservation and confirm it then.

Excellent, I am a newbie to this all.

I am staying at the Port Orleans - French Quarter. Anyone been there before?

Recommendations for restaurants...we are 3 adults, with a 3 year old and a 1 year old....

So excited!!!!

Do you mean your confirmation number? You don't need it for online booking. Go ahead and get started, and good luck getting what you want!

Also, you don't have to tell them that you are on the DDP. It will just ask for your name and phone number.

If you want to be able to book dining for your entire stay on the day that is 90 days prior to check in, you do need a confirmation number.

Also - for any dining that requires payment in full (Cinderella's Royal Table, Spirit of Aloha, Hoop Dee Doo, Mickey's Backyard BBQ) - without the confirmation number, they will charge the full cost of the meal instead of just guaranteeing the meal.

You should have received a confirmation number from Disney when you booked. If it was online, they displayed a confirmation with the number. If you entered your E-Mail address correctly, it should have been E-Mailed to you, too.

If you booked on the phone, you will receive a paper confirmation in the mail, or if you gave an E-Mail address, an E-Mail confirmation. But no matter the physical confirmation - they should have given you the confirmation number before they let you off the phone.

If you booked through either of those means, give Disney a call. 407-WDISNEY. They can look up your reservation and give you the confirmation number.

If you booked through a travel agent - you'll need to ask them to do it for you as the online dining system on disneyworld.com won't recognize a reservation that was booked by a travel agent. Or, you can call 407-WDW-DINE.

Once again - this is ALL only if you're trying to book for your entire stay on the day that's 90 days prior to check in. Otherwise, as the previous poster mentioned, all you'll need is your name and a phone number.
