Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Last time I made ADRs they only way to do it was to call Disney Dining at 7AM or later. How does the online ADR system work? Could you book at any time of day as long as it is 90 days before your check-in date? Or does it begin at a certain time, like 7AM as the telephone system does? What is the earliest?

From your experience, is it better to make ADRs online or by phone? The only ADRs I would be nervous about getting would be CRT dinner (going with a party of 10) and Chef Mickey's breakfast (though only a party of 4 for that one).

~just above the calendar to put in for your date search you will click

Do you have a Resort reservation for the same days for which you're making dining reservations?
If so, please retrieve your reservation.

~The dates are opened up at your 90 day mark from your check in. These dates open up at 6:00am. The system should auto add your +10 booking window from your check in day. If you book through a Travel Agent you will need to call them to get the phone # associated with your reservation. I did not book through a TA and my window did not open up past 90 days till today, my 90 day mark was yesterday:confused3

For your party of 10 you will have to call and the number is provided on the resturant page. The system will do 10 so give it a try, but plan on calling on tht one.

Once your 90 day opens up at 6am then you can book anytime 24/7, it is great for just keep checking. It also seems to be the exact same info the CM's have on their screen so use the online.
 
I have been trying for weeks now and as of today, I am getting an error message (see below) sad1:
Sorry, we are not able to display your reservation at this time. Please try again later.

I booked with AAA and it keeps giving me that msg or one similar to that

You actually get 11 days of ADR's (90 + 10). Then call back (online) the next day and you can get your 12th day.

The first day (90 days out from check-in) you can make ADR's for the first full 10 days of your trip. The next day you can do your 11th, and so on. It'll mess with your sleeping patterns, but you'll have the best possible access to ADR times, so it's worth it!

And instead of calling, try online so you can get a 1 hour head start each day.

You actually get 11 days! I arrive on the 1st of October and I had all the dates up to and including the 11th.
 
There is a 2:45 and a 5:45 available. I would call because they have a table for 4 @ 5:05 and a table for 2 @ 5:05.

I booked a few like that last year, my niece and I and my neighbours (4) and then when we checked in they sat us together.

I would book the two seperate tables most likely you will all sit together. If not maybe the grandparents would like to dine with the children? or on their own?

Hey girls.....

I got online and checked when I got home at 5 (EST) and I did see the 5:05 ressies for a party of 4 and 2 so I got on the phone to call....book those then cancel my 5:40. While I was waiting for a CM to pick up I ended up hanging up. I guess when I really think about it, I'd rather guarantee that we'll all sit together and it's only a difference of 35m. I'll still check online 90days before Oct 8th (I guess this friday) and see if they open up anything that day. If not, I'll live w/ our 5:40. I will definately be up by 6am tmr morning to check out if there are any earlier openings for CM's on the 5th. We have 6:50 but I wanted to see Spectro and that's just cutting it too close, we'll probably miss it, almost definately. All I can do is check!

I was little bit afraid of the online ADRs since they are so "new," so I called yesterday and booked most of the ADRs for our upcoming trip in Sept. the old-fashioned way.

When I checked online today, there were all my reservations just as I made them on the phone. I even added a new one without any trouble.

Consider this near-Luddite convinced... ;)

Make sure you are entering your phone number as 1112223333
With no dashes or spaces.
Also make sure that you are typing in your confirmation number and not cutting and pasting. For some reason when I cut and paste it doesn't work.

If you booked through DVC or a travel agent the problem of pulling up your reservation was fixed as of this weekend.
 
Hey Everyone....just wanted to give a brief review of my experience with the online reservations system: It worked great!!! Had no trouble at all. Also, booked my sisters adr's at the same time and had no problem.

The only draw back with it that I see is that it would be nicer if they gave you an option of all available times. I know this is probably immposible to do since the availiable times are constantly changing, but it would be nice to see that option.

Got everything I wanted at almost all the times I wanted.

All in all I am very pleased with this new addition. If your hesitant give it a trial run. It was much nicer than talking on the phone and waiting while they searched for what you want.

Will this work? I have a reservation for Dec 2-5 at VWL. Then we go on a cruise Dec 5-12. We stay Dec 12 at BLT.

When I am able to make reservations for Dec 90 +10 on Sept 3 (I think), will I be able to make reservations for Dec 2-12? Or will only Dec 2-5 pop up for me online?

I still have not received a reply from Disney either. Maybe I should call..

We are DVC members so we will be booking our trip through DVC Member Services. Will it have my info for my reservation? Also, we will be 4 people in our reservation (me, DH, 2 sons), but my sister, parents, and nieces are joining us for CRT. So could I still make an ADR for 10 people even though there are only 4 on my reservation?

OK Now I am really ticked off...I have just called 5 different Disney numbers (each wonderful CM just passed me on to the next). I had my reservation number verified (it is exactly what I have been entering). Most people told me that if you booked through a travel agent, you cannot link to your reservation online. The last guy said no one who books through a TA can retrieve their reservation and I said I know that others have and he said people you know and I explained that it was my online DISers and he said it isn't true...:mad::mad:

I AM SO MAD!! Stupid Disney..so according to the wonderful folks who didn't help me worth a flip, none of you who have booked through CAA/AA/TA can retrieve your reservation and neither can I. Great customer service. I bet they could get it right if I was spending $$$$...I will get over it and just call...this is just so frustrating.

It might work, I'm staying at the same resort for the two weeks. I was kind of surprised I got 11 days, but then when I thought about it-it is 90 +10.

Actually, it does give you a couple of time options if they are available.
 
I need some help. I booked with a TA. I cant access my ressie for online dining. I entered the # and my phone number my window opens Thursday. It says to contact the TA ressie cant be accessed. I called the TA they called Disney and made sure my phone number was right. I waited a few days and still cant get in. I just called Disney and was told that I will only be able to do the dining one day at a time not 10 days because I booked with a TA. That there are no phone numbers attached to TA ressies.
They transferred me to Disney tech support and they said thing.

Can someone help me?

Sorry no help here. I had the same issue. If you booked with a TA you can not book your ressies online for the 90 + 10 days, you can only book at the 90 days. Yes it sucks! If I had know I would not have used a TA! So what I did (my ADR time was 2 weeks ago). I got up at 6am, booked my first nights dinner online (and I got what I wanted which is nice), had my coffee and waited for 7am and called right away and booked the rest on the phone! This is your best bet! But I got prettu much everything I wanted with a few time exceptions and one restaurant exception but that one I have already changed online. So there is hope, good luck!
 
Yeah that does stink. I love my TA she has been great. I am going just going to let her do my dining then. I trust her but wanted to do it. I would rather get what I want and I will get an email confirmation she said so.
They should update this thread the 1st page says you can 90 plus 10 even if booked with a TA and you cant.

There are still glitches but many that have booked with a TA have been able to book with 90 +10 online. They were able to get a phone # through their TA that worked with the Ressie # they were given by the TA.

I booked threw Disney and the site reconizes my Ressie # but on the morning of my 90 day window the calendar would not open up the +10 till the next morning.
