Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Well, CRT breakfasts are kind of messed up this week. 9/28 and 9/29 are booked for breakfast for a private event, so demand from the general public has probably shifted to other days.........

ahhh, I didn't know that. I have gotten it at the earlier times with less notice before, but this time we had little luck with ADRs. I am thinking this years free dining coupled with the new 90 day ADR system (as well as an online system where people can probably hold multiple ADRs grrrrr) is making everything crazy!
 
They have changed their messages. I booked thru a TA so I had to call yesterday for my ADRs. Today I thought I'd try the online system to see if I could change an ADR and I got the message to 'call WDW-DINE or contact my TA for dining reservations'. I think that's an improvement, at least it's telling us why we can't use it.
 
I just finished making my ADR reservations on-line for August. I am waiting for my AAA agent to call me back for final booking. I didn't have to enter any confirmation number, just a telephone number where I could be reached during our stay. I gave our cell number. Actually, it was easy to make the ADR's on-line. I haven't tried to retrieve them yet, but did write down all the confirmation numbers and had the reservations sent to me e-mail address.
 
We just switched our travel dates and I am now eligible to make ADRs but online the dates only go up to Sept 23rd. I have entered my confirmation number. Is there something else that I have to do?

For some reason, the system keeps locking people out from accessing their 90+10 and will only open the 90 day mark.

I had no problems getting into my 90+10 the first 3 days of making my ADR's, but the next two days I could only get the 90 day.

I just called in and made the ADR's w/ a CM. Still got what I wanted.

THe system seems to randomly do this to people. Obviously just one of the glitches.

You can try to shut down your computer and start over, but I recommend calling so you don't lose valuable time just to find out it still won't work!

I discovered that I could only make my online ADR's one day at a time because I booked my trip through AAA, so my confirmation number and phone number don't bring up my reservation. This is also happening to DVC members, I believe.

I entered my resort confirmation and phone # and did the same thing. I then realized it was asking for the ADR confirmation # (ie 391########) and phone #. It then work woithout any problems.

Not sure if that's exactly what you ran in to...
 
I booked through a TA. Can I book our first night's dinner online (without a confirm #) and then call WDW Dine for the rest? Just curious if I will "lose" that first reservation if it isn't linked to my hotel room. Thanks!

Yep! That's exactly what I did. :)
 
As long as you're within 90 days, you don't need a reservation number, which allows people who are staying off-site or who are locals to make an ADR. I played around with it and made an ADR (which I quickly cancelled), so I can vouch for the fact that no reservation number is needed in this situation.
 
Even though I booked our Disney vacation using AAA, am I able to make my own ADR's online on Disney's site? Or, do I have to work through the AAA TA to get my ADR's? My preference is to do them on my own...

I asked this earlier in this thread aand no one answered it so I'll try again. Has anyone tried to get an ADR for a dinner show during free dining using the inline system. I'm curious to know how this works because when I looked at it for the end of September it only gave you the option of paying for tier 2 and 3.

If you book CRT online and you have the dining plan does the system charge your credit card for the full amount or ony hold your credit card to charge for a no-show?

I'm sure this has been asked, but I am quickly posting at work and can't read through all 105 pages.

DH and I surprised my parents with a trip in December, but we have two confirmation numbers since we got them their own room.

Since we have 2 people listed in our room (under our number) and 2 people listed in their room (under their own number), will I still be able to just use my number and book ADRs for 4 people online? Or, if I put in my confirmation number, will it only let me book for 2 people since that's what is in our room?

Hi, I don't know if anyone has had this problem, I'm booked to go in Jan 2010 and just wanted to play with the dining reservations (bit excited....online dining!:cool1:) Everytime I put my reservation and phone number in, it gives me a message of can't find the reservation at the moment, try again later.... What am I doing wrong? :confused3

That's because you're not within 90 days of your arrival. If you want to play with it (which I've done, BTW ;)), just don't put in a reservation number.

The ADR online system is not recognizing UK phone numbers at this moment. Also if you book through a travel agent or a package through Virgin or other vacation suppliers you will not be able to pull up your resort reservation through the online ADR info.

If you booked directly with Disney you can ring them up and see what phone number they have associated with your resort reservation and try it that way.

Once you figure out if you can use the online system -
If you are outside your 90 day it will still bring up your date but it won't allow you to book anything that is further out then 90 days from today.
 
I can start booking my ADR's on 7/2. Of course like any good Disney addict I have been playing w/ the online reservations trying to get the feel for it.
Here's what I'm wondering it says there is a link for special requests ie. Birthdays, celebrations. When I click on it there is only a request for a high chair. Do I need to call in a request for a birthday celebration?

Also what about prepay ADR's. I was playing w/ CRT and it says I have to prepay it. I am on the DXDDP and would only need to leave a cc to secure it. Has anyone done this or do I need to call this in as well? TIA.
 
Online is still not working for me -- I booked through Disney and have the right res & phone #s. I've tried on macs and pcs and had friends try. Nothing. I was able to book for our first night by not using a reservation #, but not the rest of my trip.

Very weird... :sad2:
