Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Thank you!

I've contacted Disney to find out what phone number they have associated with my reservation.

Do you think they will tweak the system to recognise UK numbers in the future?

I am lucky to have already gone to Disney this May before this ADR mess:worship::. But watching these posts and going online to check it out for myself I began to wonder if there is more to this than just the technical problems Disney has been having with all the components of their new systems over the past year. I do not have broad band. Cant get it and have been told for 5 years it will be here in months:laughing:. I do have an air card but it usually works on 3 bars not full capacity. I also have Vista on my computer which I have found works in crazy ways both on and off-line. :surfweb:I tried the online adr web site on explorer (know better than to try AOL). It took me 10 min in the middle of the day (east coast) to get to the booking line of CRT. I didn't try to book because I didn't want to mess any of you good folks up. But if the system was so slow at that time of day what chance would I have of getting CRT? For those of you that Love :lovestruc Online ADR what connection type, operating system and web browser are you using and how long is it taking you to go through each step? I would ask the same of the online adr haters that are not DVC or TA booked since we already know about that mess. Maybe we can find anther chink in the armor and forewarn those of us without the optimal set up to find a friend who does or just call. Thanks everybody for you input. May you all be sprinkled with a little fairy dust while booking online:goodvibes

I have Verizon Fios (fiber optic) and run a Mac with OS X, the inet browser on Mac's is known as Safari.

With Fios, I zoom through pages. I did have some hang ups the first couple days Disney was working the kinks out, but haven't had any issues since.

let us know if you have any luck... I've called and emailed and been told
1. The system is not available for UK users and
2. My booking is considered an agent booking and therefore Disney do not have the right to look at it and tell me the phone number

I am really really mad about it all as I booked with Disney UK and when I has problems setting up my honeymoon registry (which needs US conf # and phone #) they sorted it out in less than a day but with this I just get fobbed off all of the time :sad2:

Good Luck :flower3:

We had to originally schedule our ADR at Tusker House on 9/22 for 10:20, which was really upsetting because DS eats breakfast around 8ish and he'd be tired at 10:20 since that's usually his nap time...well, the online booking works! I kept checking and checking all day and then POOF an 8:20 am ADR appears! I AM SO EXCITED!

Did you get an Invoice when you booked your vacation, it may have the phone # listed on there? and are you calling Disney in the US or contacting UK Disney? not sure what the difference would be but that might be who you have to call :confused3

That's great!!! :goodvibes

I'm hoping for an opening 9/24 at Tusker as it is the ONLY meal my fiance has requested for our Honeymoon as Donald is his favourite!!!! Have got it for another day but 24th still fits much better for us so I'll keep checking and hope for the same good luck!

When I called for my ressies I could not get a am ressie for Tusker House. I tried back the next morning online and was able to get the 22nd at 8:15. My little guy will be in 7th heaven. :goodvibes

I'm sure this has been asked, but I am quickly posting at work and can't read through all 105 pages.

DH and I surprised my parents with a trip in December, but we have two confirmation numbers since we got them their own room.

Since we have 2 people listed in our room (under our number) and 2 people listed in their room (under their own number), will I still be able to just use my number and book ADRs for 4 people online? Or, if I put in my confirmation number, will it only let me book for 2 people since that's what is in our room?

Thanks!!
Before the online ADRs we're available, I'd made our ADRs for 2 different rooms using just my ressie #. They didnt care how many you made ressies for, so I don't think online would matter how many you make them for.

Not 10 minutes after I posted, I got the 9/24 8 a.m. ADR I was hoping for. OP, you are officially my good luck charm! :wizard:

congrats! Yes this system does work. I got two ADRs at excellent times now as i kept checking back constantly. Yesterday around 6:00 in the morning I checked online and I got Ohana at 5:15 instead of 8:10 (now that really made my day!!!!) Also got Sci-Fi this morning at dinner time so i was very happy.

I've changed almost every ADR through the online system...it's a little distracting from work, but I'm so happy to be able to do it without calling and annoying the CMs!

We decided yesterday to take a trip next month, and so I logged on today to the computer thing. It seems really slow to me. Overall I think it is OK. We we able to get everything we wanted - character breakfasts, a 5:00-ish supper at 'ohana, without any trouble really. I think it might be quicker to just call on the phone. I didn't put our room reservation on their when I first made them and went back to add the reservation number but couldn't figure out how. I don't guess it is a big deal or anything. Seemed like plenty of availability.

I have been asking those who have had succes what they used to conect..high speed air card or dial up. I have vista, use and Air card and exploring and it was slow!!!!:surfweb:

I was on our desktop with a cable modem, it is high-speed.

It wasn't just that the pages were slow to load, it seemed like it was a slow way of doing it - it seemed like there could have been a more organized way to do it.

I can't get High speed and it seems that those who are succesful all have high speed.Hope we can get HS before our next trip or dinning might be tough!

Are the surprise pirate & princess cakes attached to the dining reservation? If so, is the cake automatically canceled when you cancel the reservation online or will I need to call and cancel it? I just canceled our chef mickey adr because our plans changed so we're going on a different day now and wasn't sure if I would need to call the dining number.

:flower3:

I tried for two days and was able to change Le Cellier from lunch to dinner and at a decent time!

Also able to change Kona to a different time and day and Biergarten too!
