Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Good morning! Although this is my first ever post on disboards, I have been following this thread with great anticipation. The information has been very helpful.

Today was my 90+10, logged in and ready to go at 6 am (well, 5 am here in Texas!). Had absolutely no trouble making ADRs for all 10 days, received confirmation numbers and email.

Still have a few days to go to round out the trip, so the next few mornings I'll be up again early with the mourning doves.

Strange that some can book 90+10 this morning and others can't. I went ahead and booked over the phone but would like to still look online for some better times.

Online I'm doing the following:
Log In
Selecting Restaurant
Entering Res # and Phone #
Checking Calendar

When I do this nothing is available beyond 09/23/2009. Wasn’t sure how it worked so I even tried turning off pop-up blocker and lowing security settings on my internet explorer.

I’m usually pretty good at this type of thing but let me know if you tried something different.

So, I have read much of this thread, and I STILL have a question -WOW!!!!

I thought the online reservation time was 6:00 AM EST. However, I just read in another thread that someone woke up and made their reservations at 12:01.

It is 6:00 AM, right?

At least I determined that I'm not an idiot. Called Disney Tech Support and she tried it online with my Res # and Tele #. She was unable to get 90+10 either and seemed very suprised. She spoke with a sup and I guess they have seen this a couple of times now.

Called and didn't do too bad on my reservations from 09/24-10/03:

Wanted:Whispering Canyons 5pm
Booked: Whispering Canyons 4:30pm

Wanted:Yak n Yeti 5pm
Booked: Boma 4:55pm

Wanted:Coral Reef 7pm
Booked: Coral Reef 7:15pm

Wanted: SciFi 7pm

Wanted:CRT 5pm
Booked: CRT 6:20pm

Wanted:Mama Melrose + FP 5pm
Booked: H and V 4:45pm

I am so frustrated. It just won't pull up my reservation. I went over to the part of the site where you can pay the balance, and it pulled up just fine there. But I can't get into dining. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. I've tried on 3 computers and 2 different types of browsers. I tried to send a message on the "contact us" page and that won't send. The entire WDW site seemed to be down most of yesterday, so I was thinking it was on their end, but so many of you are getting through today -- it must be me.

Well, I guess if I can't get any ADRs I won't gain 18 pounds in 10 days this year...

Sad, couldn't get Le Cellier at all for any time/date for our party size the whole trip. I have NEVER gone to WDW and NOT done Le Cellier (Ive celebrated birthdays on the actual day there are got engaged there) so this is a bummer, but Ill keep trying.

Also couldnt get Mama Melrose for the F! pkg for our dates either.

Got CRT though (not even close to the time we wanted *wanted 8:00 got 10:25*) and Flying Fish I have been dying to try so since we are going Deluxe Plan this time I jumped on it.

Hi, since the system seems to be working for everyone else, it must be me...

I have tried to access dining several different ways, going through the restaurant list, my favorites, etc. Some times I am able to get the boxes to retrieve my reservations, sometimes not. When the boxes do come up, I enter my res# and phone# (without any characters) and it says my reservation cannot be retrieved. My trip is 9/23 - 10/3, so today is my 90 day mark.

I am at work and probably will be until after 10 tonight -- won't really be able to call in until Saturday, by then everything will be booked.

I feel like such a moron -- any ideas on something I might be doing wrong?

Sounds like it may be the Disney site and not you. I know it was down last night for some work so it could be that they are still "tweaking" the system. You might want to call make those ADR's. Good luck!

Now Im worried since the online booking didnt work for anyone but me... Im worried now that I dont have ressies. Oh boy is there a program for crazy obsessed overplanning nuts that love disney because I need it. Now that I THINK I have dining ressie.. What to worry about. Any suggestions.

That sounds like something I would think! Acually it seems like everyone had the SAME problems yesterday, yet I was able to book online. I think you were just the lucky one today!

If you haven't tried the online ADR system yet, you should. It's worked out awesome for us for our FD trip coming the 3rd week in August. When I called on the 90 day point we got some resturants we wanted but not at great times and other restaurants were our 2nd or 3rd options.

Since the on-line system has become available Ohana is the only ADR still not available but have been able to get the following:

Day 1 - The Wave 5:45 PM Dinner
Day 2 - Biergartan 5:45 PM Dinner
Day 3 - Kona 6:30 PM Dinner
Day 4 - Cape May Breakfast 7:45 AM...50's Prime Time 7:20 PM Dinner
Day 5 - Mama Melrose 5:55 PM (Not Fantasmic meal but is a Fantasmic night)
Day 6 - Le Cellier 4:30 PM Dinner
Day 7 - Flight change out of Sanford to 10:45 AM will do CS at Pepper Market and leave for airport

Bottom line...anyone not happy with current ADR's and hates to wait on hold to talk to 407-WDW-DINE CM try the online system. We've had nothing but positive results.

Is the new online dining reservation system up to date? What I mean is does the system update immediately or does it take a day or so to register new ressies? Is there times available that aren't in the online system? If so then wouldn't it be beneficial to call and not use online? Thanks for the input.

I have booked several ressies and my confirmation numbers are transmitted to me as soon as I hit the button. It is also sent to my e-mail address.

I love this online system. It's so much easier than calling and waiting on hold. And you can play around with what times and days you want. And I was able view my reservations immediately after I made them, so it is pretty up to date that way.

I have been having a great time with it also for my 23-30 July trip. Granted, I am NOT trying to get the "hard to get" places, but I've gotten everything I wanted so far:

Boma
Citricos
Whispering Canyon
50s Prime Time
Cape May

We just switched our travel dates and I am now eligible to make ADRs but online the dates only go up to Sept 23rd. I have entered my confirmation number. Is there something else that I have to do?

You can make ADR's all night. The system just doesn't load the next day til 6 Eastern.

I discovered that I could only make my online ADR's one day at a time because I booked my trip through AAA, so my confirmation number and phone number don't bring up my reservation. This is also happening to DVC members, I believe.
It might be better to call in your ADR's, then try later to change the ones you don't like. I was able to change/ cancel my ADR's online and also book new ones, as long as they were within the 90 day period.

Well, CRT breakfasts are kind of messed up this week. 9/28 and 9/29 are booked for breakfast for a private event, so demand from the general public has probably shifted to other days.........

I agree! I've been able to change and rearrange my ADRs 3 times now for my August trip and it was easy to get the places I wanted. So much better than calling!

You'll love it right up until you get up at 6 Eastern and it won't give you your 90 + 10. I've done the SAME thing 5 days in a row, and loved it for 4 days..... Today not so much!
