Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

There's a commonality here that most people are unwilling or unable to admit. There is no technical reason why some people (DVC and TA guests aside) should be able to reserve their 90+10 and others cannot. Those who cannot either originally booked under the old CRO system and/or are punching in the wrong phone number associated with the reservation, or they are not logged in when they go to make their ADR reservations, which is why the system doesn't recognize their resort reservation. I realize no one will admit to this, and everyone will say the information input on their end is 100% accurate, but computer systems (including Disney's, yes I know) don't have glitches that way. If it didn't work for some people, it shouldn't work for all people, and vice versa.

In any event, for every person who has had a problem booking 90+10, I have heard of equally as many success stories. Maybe those who are having trouble gave the incorrect info when they originally booked their resort reservations, or maybe they are inputting the information incorrectly now. Either way, the info has to match on both ends and it's not. My belief is it has something to do with your phone number. That seems to be the consensus amongst all complaints.

This certainly isnt the case for me. There is only one possible number associated with my reservation which i have checked and rechecked with a CM. It just isn't working.

I put my reservation # in, it does pull up my reservation, but it still only goes as far as the 18th, even though as of today I am in that "+10" window. I booked my trip myself through the Walt Disney Travel Company over my home phone. Shouldn't it allow me to book today? Thanks in advance.

I have made a reservation and I an inside the 90 day mark, but I have not put the $200 deposit down yet. I am a grand gathering and have a grand gathering # and then 3 different ressie #s. Please help me.

You are not in your 90+10 window yet. If you are arriving Sept 24th your 90 day window starts on June 26th and your +10 will be 10 days after that so you still have a few more days to wait.

Your 90+10day window starts on June 26th
(It's 90 days from your arrival date and allows you to book the first 10 days from arrival date - NOT prior to arrival date)

My arrival date is Sept 25th and I will be doing my online ADR's on June 27th :goodvibes

You are not in your 90+10 window yet. If you are arriving Sept 24th your 90 day window starts on June 26th and your +10 will be 10 days after that so you still have a few more days to wait.

This is correct - I also have an arrival date of September 24. The first day you can call is June 26. If you are staying onsite you can call June 26 and make reservations up to 10 days after September 24.

90 + 10 does not mean you can start booking 10 days before June 26. It means you can call on June 26 and book reservations for up to 10 days after the first day of your reservation (up to October 4 I think)
 
Help all you experts!! I am making my ADR's on Monday morning. I can log in w/ my name and password.... I don't see where to put in my ressie and phone number on the online dining reservation page - isn't that what I need to do to get my 90 + 10. I'm just trying to plan ahead so I know what to do at 5:00am Mountain time on Monday :)

Since you're within your 90 day window, there's really no reason you can't. You only need to have your reservation come up in order to access the 90+10 feature. Right now, you can go in and make additional reservations and just assign a new phone number and email to them. You can't access your old reservations, but your TA should have given you a printout of them already and should be able to cancel anything for you that you no longer need if you book something better for yourself online.
 
After you click on "Book a Reservation", do you see where it asks for "Date & Time"? Directly above that it says
Do you have a Resort reservation for the same days for which you're making dining reservations?
If so, please retrieve your reservation.
. If you click on the "Retrieve your Reservation" it takes you to a screen where you can enter your reservation # and phone #. I hope that helps!
 
I tried out the system to see if I could pull up my ADR's and when I put in my reservation number and phone number, it can't find it. Of course it does come up under just the reservation part, in case I want to pay it off.
 
I stayed up most of the night out of excitement (see PP). My fiance got up early to help me book our dining reservations online. I got the "you're crazy" gesture at one point. :lovestruc We eventually had to call Disney because it never booked CRT and Akershus for us... or so it seemed. The page came up blank with no confirmation number or anything a few times. The glitches are still there, and it's a little frustrating, but totally workable.

Our big takeaways? (Maybe "duh," but bear with me here, folks!)

  • Make your most important reservation(s) first. Perhaps these are reservations on a special date you're celebrating. Or is it a restaurant that is almost always booked? Do those first. No matter what.

  • PLEASE, PLEASE do not forget to write down your dining confirmation number on the page AFTER you submit your personal information. Very easy to do in all the excitement. This number is (obviously?) different from your resort confirmation number. Write them all down, just in case you don't get the e-mails.
For us, we're done booking ADRs. We got every single one of our first choices, amazingly... that only happened a couple of times with the phone system in our previous visits. We got all of them at the times we wanted, even with the time delay of having to call Disney for dates that needed a credit card guaranty.

We had been prepared with a list of backup restaurants to enter just in case. I would encourage others to do the same. September is low season, relatively speaking, and we woud not expect the same result in December.

I wouldn't say that the process was completely stress-free, but yes, it was easier than calling in and being on hold for 1/2 an hour. Overall, we REALLY appreciate having the two booking options!

SOS HELP!!!

It's 5:40 A.M. EST

I got my butt out of bed early to make ADRs for our upcoming trip Sept 19-27th.

The Disney web-site is not excepting my reservation number and phone number. ACK!! So it looks like I can't book my 90+10 on-line. I have never in all the time we have gone to Disney been able to get CRT....thought this was finally our chance :(

We are trying for:
#1 Tuesday, September 22nd, 2:00 Lunch Cinderella’s Royal Table
#2 Thursday, September 24th, 5:45 Dinner Chef Mickey’s at Contemporary Resort
#3 Sunday September 20th, 5:45 Dinner at Crystal Palace
#4 Wednesday September 23rd, 5:00 Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package (think I have to call for this one anyway)
#5 Friday, September 25th, 5:45 Dinner at Ohana
#6 Monday September 21st, 5:30 PM Dinner Boma
#7 Saturday, September 26th, 5:45 Dinner at Garden Grill

ANYONE have any ideas how to get the site to work?????

My girlfriend in FL got her butt up early to do this too and she is locked out same as me.

We both booked through AAA and are not DVC members.
 
I am up and on the disney site, it accepted both my reservation number and phone number, just waiting for it to roll over now. Did you sign in first? did you check a differetn phone number?

Yes I am logged into Disney site.

I've tried all out phone numbers, even AAAs phone numbers.

I could seriously just cry, right now.
 
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CANT GET THE ONLINE BOOKKING SYSTEM TO WORK??? IT ISNT EVEN COMING UP, JUST PIC:eek:
 
same here - wont accept or find my reservation - despite doing it yesterday¬!:headache:

if I miss this CRT booking because of some stupid computer glitch ........ thanks Disney!
