Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I am finished, did pretty good, moved a few things around. I still can not get the plus 10 to work, my ressie is there, the calendar will not open up for me so I had to call.I will post later what I got, I leave for church in 25 minutes and haven't started getting ready yet or gotten anyone else up:scared1:

How did you get on :sad2:

Well after all my problems yesterday of only being able to book for Oct 2 and not the plus 10 it worked today. I did the same thing I did yesterday and my reservation showed up and for some reason it works now. This system is crazy. Yesterday I even tried to clear everything, restart my computer, used another computer and tried my iPhone with no luck. At least I was able to get all my reservations by calling but it was driving me crazy. I did report my problem to Disney so maybe they could figure it out for the next person.

I have a couple of questions that might already be answered but I cant read through all the replies.

First off I was trying the system out to get some practice before my window opens next Sunday. I did enter in my ressie number and it showed up just fine. Of course the calendar wouldnt access the 10 day window because I am not there yet. When next Sunday comes around will it magically let me book the full ten days? Will all my dates show up on the calendar? I am fearful that only 10/10 will show up because that is the 90 day start date.

Second question is this. Has anyone had luck getting 10 days of dining if they are staying at 2 different Disney hotels? I am staying at BWV first then Contemp. I am really hoping with a phone call I can do the Contemp half of the trip the same time as the BWV. I am still a resort guest so I am hoping they can bypass the system somehow.

The system SHOULD automatically open up those 10 days when you log in next week.... That said, I did it 5 days in a row, and 4 days it worked, one it did not....

On the split stay, they have NOT been letting people book their second stay, even if it IS continuous. Never hurts to ask..... I know they were pretty strict about this during free dining, but I don't know if that will change since free dining will be done then.....well, at least the deals for the general public will be done........

I called to ask and the CM said it shouldnt be an issue but you know how it is, different answers every time you call. At least I will be ready to take it to the manager level if I have to. It's nice to be prepared.

I managed to pull up my dining reservations made via the phone today (I booked my package in the UK).

However, when it pulls up the "celebration" info, it has my anniversary listed, but then under "celebration type" it says NOT_CELEBRATING. I never mentioned anything about not celebrating when making the reservation - in fact, the person handling the call said she'd add the anniversary to all our reservations - they are there, just with the NOT_CELEBRATING listed for all of them.

Does anyone know what this means?

I have the same thing showing for my Niece's 5th Birthday celebration. The celebration shows up and then NOT_CELEBRATING. We will be there a few days before hand so I will confirm when we get there. I spent alot of money on a Birthday cake to not have the day celebrated!!!!!

The updated information at the top of this thread says the TA glitch was fixed as of July 1.

My TA says the "glitch" is that the system can't pull up my info with either my phone # or her phone #. This seems to be the case when I try it.

Is there a fix for this glitch? How do I get into the system if a TA made my ressie?

TIA

I booked through AAA and it wouldn't work when I tried on 6/28. It may have been fixed by now. Anyway I called Disney and got my reservation number from them and it works online. It justs takes some time for them to find you but they can give you the number.

It didn't work when I booked my ADR's on 6/21. But, like a PP said, they might have fixed the glitch by now. When I booked, you could only book 90 days in advance (online) and then the additional days when you called.

Just wanted to mention that DVC members can now pull up their reservations to use the 90+10.

Thanks everyone for asking how I did and sorry I am just getting back. I was so tired today had to take a nap after church.

Well, I was up at 5:30 and did not expect a problem since the site was reconizing my ressie. so at 6 I clicked the resturants page, retrieved my reservation, all the info was there so I clicked the calendar and dates past 3rd would not light up. Boy, that was hard. After doing everything I could think of I called at 7am, the CM picked up, no music and no wait. The CM was great and here is what I got and for 8 people and our plans

So lets go and start second guessing and switching things around.:thumbsup2

Goofing around with the system - looks pretty cool:goodvibes. Don't have to worry about 90+10 since we are staying at SOG. Only have a few ADR's anyway - but was checking out Coral Reef and I had to enter a 3 day range in order to find one time available, and that was at 2 pm (we want 12).

Of course, the date I am using is at around 87 days, just checking to see what it was like. Has anyone noticed trouble getting Coral Reef, or might it be just free dining?

We are at Le Cellier on the same day, but I have an ADR for 5:20pm.

I'm hoping after free dining, it will be MUCH easier to get ADRs. We're there Oct 22-27 so we are not there during free dining. I"ve never really had a problem getting reservations when calling in the past so I'm hoping that I don't have problems now with the new online system.

Today was my 90 day window and I had no problem getting a noon lunch at Coral Reef on day 4 of my stay. I hope when it come to be your day you have no problems!

I haven't been able to get Coral Reef at all staying offsite and booking day by day. With all the times I have looked at, I have come accross one availability and that was for for 9:40pm one night which wasn't an option for us with kids. I'm assuming its free dining because there are a few others I haven't been able to get. We arrive on 26 September so I have been booking daily for the last 9 days so far.

PrincessBelle what days were you looking at Mickey's BBQ? I have one on the 3rd for 6 people-3 adults and 3 kids. I will most likely cancel it.

I did post this earlier, but it's back a few pages now.

I guess I'll just go on and keep my fingers crossed! If I don't get what I want I'll take the best I can and keep trying. We have two days at Epcot, wanted to do this on the day we do Future World. We have been in it before, but my DS is bringing his best friend and really wants to eat here again with her:banana:!

If I don't get a good time, I will do like I have seem many here do - keep trying and hope I get lucky!

Hopefully, he can get the mac 'n cheese and it is the same as we had last time. He declared it the best in the World:goodvibes!
