One week stays

We've never booked a full week at Disney. We live in GA and would take many short stays. Now with two kids we find ourselves looking at a full week. So in booking a week, do you have to do Sunday to Saturday? I want to do the princess 1/2 marathon so we would need to leave on Monday. Can you book Tuesday to Monday under The weekly rate?

The weekly rate is simply the total points needed to 7 consecutive nights during the DVC "season". It can start on any day. You can arrive on Monday and depart on a Monday for the weekly rate. If you arrive on a Tuesday and depart on a Monday it would only be 6 nights.

Regardless, you can arrive any date available.

Yes, a week in dvc terms in 7 night/8 days which I find lovely! I was pleasantly surprised when I realized this when we first bought years ago. I know ...its the little things what can I say?

Even if you stay 7 nights, actual point usage will be calculated on a per night basis. There is no point discount for staying 7 nights and the weekly value is only accurate if all nights are in the same point season (adventure, choice, etc.).
