My DD and I made a pre-mid-school Mom & daughter trip to WDW from 8-3 to 8-12. The first and last nights were spent at/near the airport, but the rest of the week was at BCV in a studio (7 nights). This resort is lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. We had nice weather and manageable crowds. When we checked in, we were given the "last" non-smoking studio, 163. I told the CM that the first floor was OK, as long as we weren't next to the road in back. Oh no, we were assured, this room had a "woodland" view (liar). When we got to the room, of course we could tell that our room was the closest one to the road, but the bellman assured us that "there weren't that many buses" (liar liar). The room was beautiful though, so we settled in. After two nights, I awoke again at 7 am to the sounds of buses and trucks going by about every 7 seconds. My DD was sleeping with her pillow over her head. So I called about changing rooms, and we were given 305, overlooking the Beach Club breezeway. They charged me $25 to change rooms, but it was very much worth it. Nice and quiet, though slightly smaller than the first room. There was a decorative detail on the wetbar that kept the coffeemaker sitting on the front edge of counter, this wasn't in the first room. We had trash and towel service the day after we moved to room 305, and didn't see housekeeping again. Used the laundry facilities twice, it's on the 4th floor almost above our room. Funny, they have a TV in the laundry room but no chairs. We're sort of used to being on our own at DVC, but did notice that the gift shop in the BC was overwhelmed, even when three or more employees were working. There didn't seem to be a good time to pick up packages, they were always swamped. We loved our room, the access to SAB (though we used the pool at BCV several times too), the close parking, and the short walk to Epcot. Looking forward to staying there again. Diana
