One trip in February is just not enough! *Finished 5/7

:lmao: You can order a Manhattan in Rochester! He was American too! I went to school in the MidWest and when I graduated I moved out here, told people I was moving to "New York." Meaning the State since I didn't put "City" on the end... and everyone thought I meant NYC...oh well.

When people say NY here they are talking about NYC. Usually if someone wants to talk about NY state they will say New York State.:rolleyes1

Welcome! :flower3:

Thank you so much! I have enjoyed your photo's so much...We are planning to go again in November, and this just makes the planning more enjoyable. We've been going since the park first opened, and we had to have different tickets for different rides! Children, grandchildren, now just DH and I. Your photo's just made my morning!!!

Glad you enjoyed!! I can't wait to read your trip report!! :goodvibes

I guess that makes sense too  We're a little sensitive in this area I guess :upsidedow

I'll finish eventually, I promise!! I've been busy with work and well...it's almost the end and I don't like that! :snooty:

Our plan for the last day was to get going when we felt like it, get some Tonga Toast, hit DTD, have lunch at Wolfgang Pucks, and then fly home. :thumbsup2

When I came back from the first trip my boyfriend saw the pictures of Tonga Toast at Kona and started drooling. (Kidding...kind of.) He decided that we should go out to breakfast the next morning. Okay by me! :yay: When we got there, the Big Kahuna platter caught his eye instead...which meant that I had to order Tonga Toast so he could try it. :rolleyes1

Wait. Backtrack.

So we woke up and started getting ready. We were just going to show up at Kona since usually it's a short wait for breakfast, but since we seemed to be getting ready at a decent rate, I thought I'd give Disney Dining a call. Not that I have their number programed into my phone (and memorized for backup) or anything  We were in luck! Perfect timing, they had an ADR exactly when we would be getting over there! Score! It was like it was meant to be ::yes:: Then the power in the hotel promptly went out. And stayed out. And we had to drag our luggage down 4 flights of stairs :headache: It wasn't just the hotel either, it was the traffic lights and everything outside too. Great. Tell me...why don't people know how to drive when this happens??? Public Service Announcement: If you come to a traffic light that is out, treat it as a four way stop. Morons :sad2: So we escaped with our lives and made it onto Disney property. Then got to Kona, then he decided he wanted the Big Kahuna instead of Tonga Toast :goodvibes

And this is the only picture I took from breakfast :lmao:

As you can probably gather from the power outage, there was a nasty storm going on. We dilly dallyed during breakfast in hopes it would clear up. It did for the most part, so we braved the weather and headed over to DTD.

My parents were meeting us for lunch, which we were obviously ready for  so we walked around until they met up with us. We first headed over to the Lego store. He's a big Star Wars fan, so we had to check all that stuff out.

We wandered through Pleasure Island, I think this is where the new Paradiso 37 will be...

Noticed that they didn't have any panels over the Adventurers Club or the Comedy Club...it'll be interesting to see what they do with those.

After a little more shopping and wandering we met up with my parents. Everyone enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express (well, my Dad loved it, I disliked the mac & cheese, but everything else looked wonderful, so we'll go with that!) And of course hit up Goofy's and got some treats for our trip home :goodvibes

Then my Mom took us to the airport and my Dad took my brother's car home. :sad1: There was a snowstorm hitting the Northeast, somehow Rochester got spared, so we didn't come home to snow, but our flight was delayed. We hung out in the airport for a bit. It was a nice time.

Thanks for reading!! Hopefully I'll be back sooner rather than later :flower3:

:sad2::sad2::sad2:
I can't believe it's over!! With reading your DR and your TR, I thought they would last forever. You do such a good job writing these reports, do you write for your career, or do you just have natural talent that pours onto the page?:goodvibes I have to tell you, you have become my first Dis friend.:flower3:. I hope you come back often. I may end up writing a TR for my November trip, so I hope you will follow along.

P.S. I know you don't have any trips planned as of yet, but you know that AP is burning a hole in your pocket.:lmao::lmao:

:lmao: I'm a terrible writer! But thanks for the compliment!!! I guess I'm really not that bad, but my younger brother is an English Major...I majored in Finance... I rely on spell check ;)

I will totally follow along on your TR!!

And umm...the AP is burning a hole in my pocket. It expires 8/9. They just released AP room only rates until 8/8. I'm thinking about going 8/1-8-3. It would cost around $500 for flight, Coronado Springs and Quick Service plan. Less if I don't go with the DP and just pick at my meals (sometimes I eat kids meals, so I'm not sure if I need the QS plan...)

OMG! I JUST MAY DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

You should do it!!!! That's not bad at all! You have the added benefit of being able to see your parents, too. So technically, it's a multi-purpose visit, right?:cool1: I actually added one night to our reservation in November because the thought of only four nights at WDW just wasn't enough!!! So, I just need to explain that to my husband.:rolleyes1 He's pretty easy to convince, so I should be okay. My only problem is the tickets we're getting are the 5 day PHP through the military. It's an awesome deal, $125!! My FIL actually gets his for free for being retired navy! We would just need to decide what to do on Sunday. I would love to just go and explore DTD, the resorts, eat at Wolfgang Pucks, and maybe take in La Nouba. DH will be very hard to convince of that, though. Shows are not his favorite.

P.S. When is it too early to start a PTR??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I say start a PTR whenever the heck you feel like it!

And I think those tickets are awesome. With my parents being close, we've gone up when we didn't have park tickets and had brunch, then took the resort ferries at the deluxe hotels round trip :lmao: Just for the fun of it! It's nice to have a down day on a longer Disney vacation. Gives you a chance to recoop! :lmao:

And I talked to my boyfriend, I think if I were talking about the start of December, he'd join me...but the thought of Florida in August is too much :lmao:

BUT! My cousin is a Disney fanatic and a teacher. She can only go during the summer months, so I asked if she was at all interested. She's getting back to me tomorrow. She's interested, she's not sure if her husband is or if her wallet is  If not, I might join my parents for Father's Day instead. They're already planning on heading up that weekend. The flight is slightly cheaper (like $40, so significantly) and they know this "quaint little bed and breakfast" I can stay at :rotfl2: (My Dad's words, he's so funny!:confused3)

Sooooo...the verdict is...I'm going sometime this summer for a quick weekend. Just not sure if it'll be June 20-22 or August 1-3.... :dance3:

Hey! I'm the same age as your daughter!!

And yes! I want to read all about your trip and be jealous about MVMCP!
