I have a situation I am hoping that I can get some opinions on...

We have one too many reservations and I need to dump one. We are traveling with our two boys (ages 7 and 9). Here are some options. Which would you choose?

Crystal Palace for breakfast before the park opens one day
and
Tusker House for breakfast before the park opens on another day.

OR

Crystal Palace for breakfast before the park opens one day
and
Boma for breakfast at park opening time on another day.

OR

Tusker House for breakfast before the park opens on one day
and
Boma for breakfast at park opening time on another day.

Basically I have to lose out on one of these.
- Crystal Palace (early entry)
- Tusker House (early entry)
- Boma (late arrival at the park)
.

What would you do?
TIA

Boma has the best food by far, but with the kids I would drop Boma. You are getting into the parks early with the other two, instead of having to make a seperate trip to AK lodge for Boma.

If you will be out late the night before, I think having a slightly later morning by going to Boma at park opening might be helpful. If you're planning AK for that day, you'll probably still have enough time to get through it. If getting up and out the door is no trouble for that day (not sure if it's early or late in your trip), I'd keep Tusker and drop Boma. Definitely keep CP - seeing Main Street and the Castle with almost no one else around is pretty amazing all on it's own.

I would get rid of this one.

Tusker House for breakfast before the park opens on one day
and
Boma for breakfast at park opening time on another day.

Ok... So we talked and figured that keeping Crystal Palace was a must because of the early entry to see Main St and the castle without the crowds.

We are actually going to Animal Kingdom on two days of our trip and getting up in the morning is not a huge issue at all.

It sounds like Boma would be a keeper for the food. Is there anything that we should see at Animal Kingdom Lodge while we are there? I have heard about night-vision with the animals, but we will obviously be there during the morning.

We are also eating at Chef Mickey and 1900 Park Fare during the trip so I am not sure that the characters at the meal would be missed. Is there a compelling reason (other than early entry) that Tusker House would be the better choice?

Thanks again for the info.

It sounds as if you are leaning towards Crystal Palace and Boma - I would probably go with this one too.

Since you will also be dining at Chef Mickey's, you will probably have already seen the characters that are at Tusker House (except maybe Daisy as I've heard she's usually there).

Which ever option you go with, you will all have a fabulous time. :thumbsup2

Since you are going with kids I would say that early morning entry is a big deal so stick with CP (which is awesome) and TH (which I hear is very good).

If it were just DH and I, Boma would win hands down

Decisions. Decisions.

Hubby and I have decided to go with Crystal Palace and Boma even though the early entry to Animal Kingdom would have been nice. I think since we have other character breakfasts and are going two days to AK, we will be able to be there early for the other day (rope drop) and finish up with whatever we missed on the day we arrive a bit later.

Thank you to all who shared your thoughts.

We just did the Crystal Palace for breakfast before MK opens. It was GREAT.

The kids loved it and like others said being there before the opening is awesome. Plenty of time for pictures and then getting in place for your favorite destination for the park. We had Adventureland pretty much to ourselves for the first hour or so.

Since you'll have a rope drop at AK on another day I think you made the right choice with Boma. I've eaten at Boma and TH, and while the characters at TH are good for kids, Boma has the better food and a much larger variety of foods, IMO. :goodvibes

If that was your only day for AK then I'd have chosen TH just so you didn't miss rope drop.
