One Time Use Points

Question about the one time use points. I know that you can only buy them at the 7 month mark, but can you buy points (I think 24 max?) and borrow from the next year? I don't want to use all my points from the next year, but need more than the 24 you can buy. We want to go to Aulani next year and I want to splurge on the ocean view since this isn't someplace we can go often and I know some of the other views are harder to get as well so I don't want to count on using less points. So is this doable or if I need more than 24 and can't do both then that means borrowing all of them from the next year?

Yes, you can buy points even if you have current year points lefted.
