One Time Use Points and Reallocating?

We have a reservation booked for December using a mix of Saratoga and Disneyland tower points. This was booked mostly at the 11 month mark and added on at the 7 month mark. We also have a reservation for January using Disneyland tower booked at the 11 month mark. I’m looking to extend the DL January reservation by a day.

Would it be possible to buy one time use points now and ask DVC to reallocate them into my December reservation freeing up my Disneyland points for me to book now? We currently have 6 DL points left in the bank and need 9 more.

I wasn’t thinking and should have bought OTU points but was so worried about the rooms booking fast. Am I out of luck and needing to chance it for Disneyland at the 7 month mark?

As long as some of the nights for your Dec trip was booked at 7 months or less, then this will work

You would have to call, make a fake night for the same UY as your Dec and January trip and buy the OTU points and then cancel it.

Once canceled, you can then reallocate into the Dec trip.
