one of many reasons I use Canon

Taken at Cannes Film Festival 2006.

-------------- and below are another two reasons :teeth: --------------

I know, I know, they are Canon ads, but they are actual pictures by Canon taken during the actual events. The top one is during Superbowl, don't know about the second one.

I don't get the point...

The white lenses are all Canon. At least, I think that's the point. ;)

I believe that all of the gray lenses are L lenses which are exclusive to Canon and it seems that everybody is using them. That's what I believe that Kelly is saying.

Canon is not the only company with white lenses, if the pic were blown up and I could see they were Canon then I get the point otherwise, it is an assumption...

with that exact off-white colour and the distance ratio between focal and focus rings, at least most of them are Canon. Besides, 60% of all dSLR sold in the world are Canons.

Regardless, it's a tongue-in-cheek thread, hence the big-grin smiley. :)

we could debate the reasons for that, but I'm too tired....

Look more like Kodaks to me. :teeth:

thanks Dan, that's exactly what I was thinking.....either kodak or polaroid...

Yeah, yeah, big deal, so the paparazzi all use Canon L glass. Whoop-dee-doo.

Now, if Kiera Knightly or Sandra Bullock could be shown using Canon equipment, THAT would interest me!

Hmmm I like the way you think..... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Alas, at least Kiera Knightly uses Sony credit-card type point and shoot.

Carmen Electra uses Canon dSLR with 17-40 f/4L lens, though. She took a lot of her hubby's promo live-show pic (her husband is Dave Navarro). I don't know whether she's your type.

I'd rather have Keira or Carmen, standing in front of one of my Minoltas...

Today I helped my friend (the store owner) selling three S3 IS and all I get is a Canon T-shirt and a pen. That's it! from now on, Kodak or nothing for me! :)

I saw her travelling alone at Hong Kong airport past December, at the cashier where she just bought the Sony credit card camera from the duty free shop. I guess she received the 'bad vibe' from me staring at her newly bought camera when she said something along the line of her needing something to make her look not too skinny.

I wish I could be that skinny.

Unfortunately....

I don't watch TV enough to know entertainment sorts - and since the 2nd child came along our travel has tapered off a bit. However, I can relate to your observation of a skinny girl buying a skinny digicam? :goodvibes

Aside from that - I just thought I'd say one good reason for using Canon is to get better sensors and glass. The field of Canon professional lenses is correct (Kodak is out of the business of DSLRs).

And in the continuing spirit of cheeks with a tounge pressed against it - I would like to ask why no NIKON SNOBS have availed themselves of this raging insult to the temple of Nikon? Where are all the noble Nikon D - fans? If none step forward than I may have to unfurl my hidden Nikon banner just to keep things interesting. Please don't make me do that! ;) It will me messy... very very messy. Grrrrrrr!
